Have had my Rostock Max for around 2 weeks. Today some time during a 5 hour print the nozzle tip broke off, just to the point that now the tip opening is around 1.75mm (filament just runs out). That is basically what I did, but getting the second side one required me to stretch the clip to the point that it broke on a few of them. If the rods slid easier you would be able to shorten the length you need to clear on the second side, but I know they are tight for a reason.
