Re: Not reaching temp
I'm have this same issue. I have tried everything the OP has, as well as re-uploading the firmware, with no luck. (also tried incresing the PID max with no success :( ) It makes me wonder is something got lose like the thermistor maybe, or perhaps one of the resisters went out?? IDK why it would ...

"Upon testing the board we found that the fan leads for the RAMBO fan were contacting on the back side of the board causing the RAMBO Stepper Motor Drivers to not correctly work and eventually blow the F2 fuse. We have mounted the board to a backer, soldered in a new fan and will be shipping the ...

Re: FrznTek's R Max v2
I didn't have to call, woke up to a couple of e-mails, one from UPS with the label and one from support. "Not sure what happened with that RMA. The shipping department confirmed with me that it was sent.... I have them generating another one right now, so you should be receiving it soon... Please ...

Re: FrznTek's R Max v2
When I did my research on 3D printers to figure out what one I wanted to buy. SeemeCNC seemed that they had good customer service, of which was one of the determining factors in my choice. My initial e-mails seem to back that, which made me feel comfortable spending the just over $1200 with shipping ...

Re: FrznTek's R Max v2
They got back to me on Friday and had me test/look at some stuff. I ran the clear eeprom, re-downloaded the firmware, made the motor change to "{155,155,155,165,0}" just like last time, and no change. (the Y axis still doesn't move when plugged in to the Y axis port.) the pins also look fine. I ...

Re: FrznTek's R Max v2
as for the low memory... "I just spoke with John our resident Firmware GURU about the Low Memory notice is nothing to be concerned with. It is a notice that 70% or more of the memory has been used and is new to the 1.0.6 version of Ardunio that was recently released (which is why it is not mentioned ...

Re: FrznTek's R Max v2
just tried that, and it didn't help.
I did notice that the low memory message appears even when verifying the firmware's code.

Re: FrznTek's R Max v2
Thanks for the idea. They work , it must be a controller issue. I do remember the andrino software said something about low memory after I uploaded the firmware, and that it might cause glitches.

I checked to make ...

Re: FrznTek's R Max v2
I would love to see some pictures after the paint job. Cobalt blue sounds great. Painting the pillars does not sound like a good idea. You would need etching primer to get a good bond to the aluminum. Best to have them anodized rather than painted. Thanks, and yeah if I decide to paint them I'd buy ...

Re: GIANT Rostock Max v2 Build + parts list! 32" print heigh
@FrznTek, Yes I used 48" rails. The build height is 804.145mm, or 31.6535 inches. I'm sorry if rounding that up to 32" offended you, but it seemed pretty fair. You can't just add the inches to the original extrusion length. Remember that some of that length is hidden inside the top and bottom ...

Re: GIANT Rostock Max v2 Build + parts list! 32" print heigh
nice wright up, but 2 things. are you talking about using 48" (4 ft) t-rails? if so IDK how your getting 32" build height. 14.5" + 16" = 30.5" the second thing... if your buying a new kit, save money and contact SeemeCNC first. I just ordered an R Max v2 kit from them and it only cost about $50 ...

I say give it another shot. You will have matching pieces, and it is a good price (IMO)
who knows, maybe that first spool was a fluke, and second time is a charm?

Anyone use this stuff? I ordered a spool of the Royal Purple PLA.
Good price on 1Kg spools and it's made here in the USA.
Woth watching the video on there site to see how filament is made either way

Re: Rostock MAX v2 questions
I'm trying to mod it to be 9.25" taller build volume. ^ how will it know that it's OK to go higher then normal? so I need 41.25" T-Slot rails and 94.5" belts. will there be stability issues with the added height, or will I be OK? looking through the manual I see how the belts mount, so no worries ...
