Re: FSR Sensitivity in Middle

I cleaned the plungers and mounts and re-lubricated as well as resetting their positions on the melamine top. I also flipped the snowflake and the difference was apparent immediately with the tapping of the bed, I would say the pressure required is now almost identical over the bed with only a tiny ...

Re: FSR Sensitivity in Middle

I used a long screw rob for a TV stand I have spare and there was a small hint of movement, the glass and aluminium are level with a straight edge, however there is a pretty big bow in the snowflake. Would flipping it over and remounting help at all? I'll have a go remounting the FSR holders and ...

Re: FSR Sensitivity in Middle

Using the very scientific method of finger tapping after noticing the slight error from opendact, I tried the finger tapping around the bed. On the perimeters of the bed all FSR's trigger with approximately the same tap pressure and in between towers illuminates 2 LEDs at the same time. However ...

FSR Sensitivity in Middle

So I finally stopped procrastinating and installed the FSR kit from Ulitbots and Micheal's FSR mounts, on the whole they work really well and openDACT gives great calibration results in only a handful of iterations now. The issue is the FSR's are more sensitive on the extremities on the bed (which I ...

not the answer you were looking for, but I am UK based and picked up 3 of these a few months ago http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1pc-3wire-NEW-Delta-BFB0312MA-30x30x10mm-3010-12V-0-08A-DC-Brushless-Blower-Fan-/191442673099?hash=item2c92df5dcb:g:Qx4AAOSw7ThUhog3 , same size as the stock layer fan and had ...

Repetier 0.92.9 Printing Problems

So I am running the stock rambo and looked at other threads which included the Config.h as well as the SeeMeCNC one as per the manual whilst tackling the online tool to get everything set up. Had a few cockups with the fan and heater arrangement and motor currents and endstops but that all works ...

Re: BondTech QR Extruder Tip #1 - Calibration

+1 for Michael's wiring table worked great for me. Only half way through the second print with this extruder and its great thus far still trying to dial in PLA retracts with it and E3D. Got two standard mounts to go on the top of Rusty as I want to build an enclosure soon. One day deliver from ...

Re: BondTech QR Extruder Tip #1 - Calibration

Line 195 in Configuration.h, stock Repetier Firmware

Code: Select all

#define EXT0_inverse true
change to false if true and true if false.

This will inverse the motor direction

Re: Splitting issue... Underextrusion?

I gave the extruder gear a clean and did the atomic method (I do this most of the time when I change filament) before and after cleaning with a fire and and a few guitar strings. Before that though I upgraded from the Repitier firmware in the manual to the latest version 0.92.9? maybe??? Due to ...

Re: Splitting issue... Underextrusion?

The silver might be playing a part, but the issue is also present on my red PLA (E3D) and blue PLA (Hatchbox). The silver is FilaPrint. I'll have a go at printing the same tall objects in different colours when I get home and see how it comes out, but for sure the issue is there on other colours too ...

Splitting issue... Underextrusion?

Another day, another trouble shooting issue... Okay so my print quality now that I've fixed my lifting issue on bed extremities (ish-kind of fixed (it'll do for now)) has massively deteriorated due to an issue I'm having with possibly layer splitting although its doesn't curl? 20160408_155631.jpg To ...

Re: Lift Between Towers

Latest update... Swapped and flipped the belt of the Z tower (originally the X) and the X tower (originally the Y), as well as swapping the tower motor inputs on the RAMBO to see if driver issue. So X,Y,Z have been plugged into Z,Y,X as the endstops to account for the new position. This appears to ...

Re: Lift Between Towers

Thought I'd try the Matter Control 13 point bed leveling just to quadruple confirm its not the bed being off and its not... However the problem area moved from being either side of the Z tower between X and Y to being directly on the Z tower... Someone out there must know what this means... I ...

Re: How to prevent nozzle dragging through layer

Infill Overlap is General - Infill - Advanced. Make sure you have the advance tab selected not Standard or Basic... As far as I am aware this will change your infill overlap for everything to the perimeter so top, bottom and middle infill, but not overlap between infill. If you are experiencing ...

Re: How to prevent nozzle dragging through layer

To lift the nozzle during non-printing moves its the Z-lift setting in Filament - Filament - Retraction section of the settings tab, 4th down. Personally I set this to my layer height x 1.5 as it helps me with stringing.

Re: Lift Between Towers

Right I've managed to source some #4 screws... I tell you they appear to be gold dust over here. Hopefully delivered before the weekend. Also investing in a digital angle finder just to be 100% on tower squareness, but I don't believe that's the biggest issue. FSR kit should be here tomorrow, then I ...

Re: Lift Between Towers

I may have found the culprit... The U joint axle on each of my cheapskates has only one screw holding it down...Pg 120 of the Manual Fig. 8-13. I have checked my spares box and there are no more of those screws, and unsurprisingly nowhere locally... or in the country as far as I can see sells them ...

After swapping the belt of the X tower with that of the Y, the issue has instead returned to the Z tower...? This to me must show that something is seriously mechanically wrong...

Re: Lift Between Towers

Because I am lazy I didn't do what i said i would... I tried the arms and calibration was pretty much the same, calibrating after each one sounded like a ball ache so I cheated and swapped the X and Z stepper, hobbed gear and belt. I am please to report that the issue now manifests itself around the ...

Re: Lift Between Towers

In case I wasn't clear. After I've swapped a part I'll 3 point calibrate and run the bed level print.

I though about endstops, but around the tower is fine so I ruled those out. And of course endstop screws will move with the cheapskate

Re: Lift Between Towers

Now I've calmed down a bit and I feel Rusty isn't in danger of being thrown out of a window... Like it would fit! I decided to tackle this as a scientist should and logically change a variable at a time. I'll be swapping out parts with another tower, more in the hope that the problem follows. I'll ...

Re: Olo SLA Kickstarter

Having started the research there are a few printers that use daylight resins already, and the resin is widely available. The biggest kicker appears to be that they are incredibly UV sensitive to the point they will cure almost immediately in direct sunlight, this for me is a kicker as most SLA ...

Re: Lift Between Towers

Okay so after going through the 24v upgrade the issue has resurfaced, although thinking back I don't believe the issue 100% had gone. In the above photo I'm printing a gear cube for a house mate and hadn't done the bed levelling print after the tower square just some simple G code and it looked ...

Re: Olo SLA Kickstarter

Reading through their FAQ they say that they specially created their resin for this printer, at $15 per 100ml I'd say its a little bit pricey, as see them for 1l around £80-120 with the higher end being more exotic stuff for casting etc ~ $110. Direct quote from FAQ "Q - Do I have to use proprietary ...
