Looking at the wiring I've noticed that the insulation at the tip of the thermistor where it goes into the heat block is frayed, so Im thinking that the wires touched eachother or the block and fryed the thermistor. Ive ordered a new one so we'll see what happens, and thanks for the reply!

Please help! I clogged my e3d hot end with Pet and could not unclog it, so i completely took it apart and unclogged it then re-assembled it. I am currently having the same exact problem with my rostock max v2. When I try to home my Y tower only goes down, regardless of changing the firmware as the manual instructs. Did you ever get this issue resolved?
