Re: ABS Heat End Jams

Can you clarify your question? Do you have the peek plastic between the two aluminum halves tight? I assume you are talking about the Bowden extruder, I have adjusted the tightness so that I cannot stop it by pinching my fingers over the plastic strand before it goes into the extruder. I tested it ...

Re: Heat Bed temporature sensor is not working

Sorry I have been traveling a lot lately and have not had time to get back to my 3D printing until last night. The Rambo board was fine, I did verify the inputs on the Rambo and thermistor. It was showing weird readings with the Onyx. So I wired a thermocouple directly to the Rambo without the Onyx ...

ABS Heat End Jams

I have been printing with my Rostock Max for the past two weeks without any flaws. However the past 3 prints have started, but the heat end has jammed in the middle of the print. I am running the nozzle temp at 250 (this was trial and error to get to this value, I have nice plastic flow). I ...

Re: Heat Bed temporature sensor is not working

So I have been troubleshooting this for the past week. I suspected the Rambo board and the temperature sensor. I ordered a new Rambo board because I was seeing weird behavior on the other inputs. I replaced the thermistor (semitec brand, and the part number is 104GT2 They are 100k @25c ) and ensured ...

Re: Heat Bed temporature sensor is not working

I don't know which one it is, because I don't have any information from the SeeMeCnc website. Do you have a recommendation on a better thermistor part that I should use?

Heat Bed temporature sensor is not working

I have a Rostock Max. I accidentally scraped the thermistor off a couple weeks ago while I was adding my aluminum heat plate. The heat bed was not damaged in any way. I ordered a new thermistor from http://shop.seemecnc.com/100K-Thermistor-26141.htm. I soldered the new thermistor into the board. I ...

Re: Rostock Max Calibration

I bought some 2" 6/32 taper headed screws, 5/16 aircraft cable spacers, and some lock nuts. The spacers have a counter sunk side to them. I placed the taper headed screw heads on the counter sunk side, and then used a 6/23 locknut to tighten it on against the screw head. The surface is flat and hits ...

Re: Rostock Max Calibration

Thanks for the recommendation. I did a couple things since the post. I placed a 1/8" thick piece of aluminum between the Onyx and the glass. I have that all secured down now. I figure that this will distribute the heat evenly and hopefully will reduce the variance in the heat plate. Second, I am ...

Rostock Max Calibration

I am a first time 3D Printer user. I received my Rostock Max 3 weeks ago and have been assembling and calibrating every since. I have calibrated the print end (using a depth guage) within 0.08mm at the center, x,y and z points at 5mm above the heat plate surface (I have glass on top of the heat ...
