Re: Rostock Max V2 (upgraded to 3) with declining temperature issues
Nope. It's still three to four degrees off when it goes above 220.

Re: Rostock Max V2 (upgraded to 3) with declining temperature issues
I think we already got the latter-day power supply. (I might be wrong on this)
Can you show a link to what it is we -should- have?

Rostock Max V2 (upgraded to 3) with declining temperature issues
We have a Rostock Max v2 that has the new hot end and extruder--which I'm pretty sure makes that a v3. We've had it for a little over a year, and have finally got everything honed in and are printing things great! Only I've noticed that on the last PLA print we set the temp for 230 (the thing we're ...

Re: What is this called and how can I fix it?
Hmm...I may try and reprint it since i can't put it back together so that it makes sense. The odd looking bits were where it touched in the middle. There really isn't an overhang as such that I can tell. When reprint, I'll open it just a bit so you can see. The wonkiness is the horizontal plane ...

Re: What is this called and how can I fix it?
This is actually the inside. A picture of the cube before removing and unfolding it is below. The outside looks great. I was trying to print this http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:929504 . We are still trying to fine tune the setttings for PLA, and it seems really fiddly sometimes! Could it still be ...

What is this called and how can I fix it?
Greetings! I was printing a folding cube, but keep getting this on the surface. I am not sure what the problem is called, though. The surface isn't really smooth, but it doesn't look like infill? The hinges end up breaking on one side when folding it. I'm not sure how to clarify, but will definitely ...

Re: Layer Fan Shroud Issue
Update: Attempt #2 started okay, then came unseated and spaghettified again.
Frustrating, since the first thing built fine.
Anyone want to buy a 3D printer?

Layer Fan Shroud Issue
So the Peek Fan Casing went well! We were heartened, as this build has been quite the struggle. Then on to the Layer Fan Shroud, which built -mostly- fine (9/10 the way up) but then turned to plastic spaghetti. Are there any easy, "Oh, I know what -that- is!" solutions? Or was this simply a ~case ...

Re: Power Supply Assembly Question for V2
Thank you to everyone for your replies. I just left off the metal washers and it went together in less than a minute! So far the build is "together". Now on to calibration and trying to figure out why the extruder motor isn't working...

Re: Power Supply Assembly Question for V2
Oooh! That is good to know. Maybe I will just try those without the washer. Is there any downside to leaving it out for the ones that don't work? Or would the sanding be a better idea.

Power Supply Assembly Question for V2
Greetings! I did already try and find this on the forum, but didn't have any luck. I am at the step of the Rostock V2 build where you have to mount the power supply to the frame. There are 4 round standoffs that are provided. The instructions say that the screws will seem to short but they aren't ...
