Re: Repetier 0.92 on Rostock MAX v2
Firmware tool on repetier site is very beta-esque... It's hard to get the code to compile in 0.92 after using it...

Re: Rostock with Diamond hotend... FULL RGB COLOR MIXING
Nylocke... Yeah, I put no effort into the video at all... I'm going to make a better one eventually... I usually use on screen stuff when I'm on the computer, but cutting and editing one that goes from one to the other was more work than I was willing to do at the time... But I agree, the video is ...

Re: Repetier 0.92 on Rostock MAX v2
You can try my configuration if you want. I'm running 0.92.6 I believe. You will probably want to tweak it to your printer though, as I changed the thermistors setting to reflect my thermocouple measurements at temperature. If his FW is 0.91, and yours is 0.92 and you only give him config.h - the ...

Re: Repetier 0.92 on Rostock MAX v2
I have 0.92 running 100%... Here's my firmware... Keep in mind, my machine is extremely modified - so you'll need to make a few changes in config.h... But it will work.

Re: Why is Ninjaflex not recommended for boden like the Rost
What you can do is convert your extruder to a "flyin" struder... Basically put the extruder on bungees connected to the top effectors... This will shorten your PTFE tube substantially... (to about 5-6 inches)... Then get an extruder that has tight enough spaces around the gear and drive assembly so ...

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
You're welcome... Yeah PolyCarb has become my go to for functioning/mechanical parts... PLA is an absolutely useless plastic... ABS is alright but has a relatively low transition temperature and is a little too rigid for its own good (will crack or snap before bending)... PolyCarb is the only ...

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
Yeah, I was extremely pleased with the fact that ninjaflex printed without issue... I never expected NF to work well with a bowden setup... But after I got PLA to work, I decided I might as well try NF just to make sure... But then, on the first try, it actually worked which really made me happy.

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
My new design has been pretty solid so far... Only problem I have is that I put too much tension on the springs and it grips a little too tight causing the filament to get ground down by the gear... I made a few adjustments in the plunger and found the sweet spot for tension though... The hardware ...

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
In your pictures, I see no sign of the thermal isolation sheet between the hot end and the cold ends. It also prevents any fan airflow from hitting the hot end, which is probably its most important functon in this case, and why it's cut larger than the hot end itself. I actually cut a little piece ...

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
Michael, did you manage to get Z-probe and distortion working in your 0.92 FW? If so, can you send me your config.h? I can't get it to compile with it enabled at all... as soon as I go 1/true, I get more compiling errors than I have the fortitude to try to debug.

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
The mixing virtual extruder support in .92 is very cool and works great. Yeah, I'm still trying to get it configured right... As of right now, when I enable it, all three extruders start extruding and cause a traffic jam in the nozzle... I'm trying to play around with the mixing python post script ...

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
I figured out what it was... I'm using XT60 connectors on the heater cartridge so I can do quick disconnects of the entire diamond assembly without having to take it apart... Well, one of my solder points into the XT60 connector was quite literally hanging on by a thread... I re-soldered and it is ...

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
Eric, good info... I also used the link that you provided me, however, it's still not "exactly" what I needed - but it helped... The best resource that I found was an excel spreadsheet on github of all the pins and their traces back to the 2560... It was good enough, but it did have a few errors ...

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
My setup now... I completely changed what I did in terms of setup since making the video I posted above... I bought a little stepper expansion board from reprap.me... I bought it to play around with it - not expecting it to work - however, when I hooked it up to the Rambo and played with the ...

Re: Adding more Extruders to Ramps ?
As for Firmware, I posted this last week on another thread on here... Here's a copy and paste of what I posted... It sucks the rambo doesn't have very much in terms of technical documentation (especially v1.3, pretty much nothing)... To find the best pins and voltages, I literally had to unravel ...

Yeah, I'm trying to gauge your level of technical/mechanical understanding to see how I should explain this... I'll try to keep it as basic as possible... However, I'm a professional engineer, so it's hard for me to explain basic concepts without first assuming a certain level of knowledge from whom ...

When I get finished / and around to it - I'll make a detailed video and/or instructables or something. I'm currently trying to find the best combination of drivers/boards/pins/code/etc... So far I've found about 5 different ways to make this work... I'm just trying to figure out the best way right ...

Re: Adding more Extruders to Ramps ?
Sorry David, but youre still confusing me... You keep saying ramps... the ramps is a cheap pcb add on to an arduino mega... the rambo is the one that comes with the rostock... two totally different boards.

Re: Interesting new Diamond hotend 3x filament
It sucks the rambo doesn't have very much in terms of technical documentation (especially v1.3, pretty much nothing)... To find the best pins and voltages, I literally had to unravel the schematic because the only schematic that gives (accurate) digital pin outs was for the v1.1... So I literally ...
