Re: materslicer adding new bottoms in model
Still having this problem - not sure what it is, instead of using Blender mesh tool "spin" I'm using modifier "screw" which was recommended for closing the mesh etc - looks good up to layer 48: http://swigerco.com/layer48.jpg then suddenly this inner disk appears for layer 49: http://swigerco.com ...

Re: materslicer adding new bottoms in model
Yea, it was the mesh spin causing a problem, a quarter spin worked, 359.9 degree spin worked with a visible gap, then did 360 degree and merge close vertices in meshlab maybe that fixed it, or maybe using 64, anyway it comes out as expected now.

materslicer adding new bottoms in model
Hey - have enjoyed the Rostock Max V2 for serveral years now, still works incredibly well. Just started playing with some t-glase, made a great demo model, the bed adhesion to gluestick is great. I'm making an ambitios project to make a transparent lamp shade, have a profile image, made into an svg ...

Hot extruder motor buckles filament
Just sharing an issue I had with some filaments, wood fiber and a glow in the dark one, the print would fail with the filament getting all jammed up in the extruder motor package. I suspected the drive gear was getting so hot that that particular filament would get soft enough to buckle before being ...

Re: Extruder Motor Hot
Ok, adjusted down the parameters for Automation Tech steppers in the arduino code and uploaded. Maybe runs a little cooler but still gets almost too hot to touch. Anyway in desperation to get the wood PLA print to finish I just cooled it manually with ice in a bucket, holding the cubes to the motor ...

Re: Extruder Motor Hot
Having same issue here (glad I searched instead of posting a new topic) - servo motor is quite hot to the touch and thought there must be a setting for the current. Mostly works but a few filament types, notably wood PLA, will not finish a big print without - I guess - squeezing and buckling from ...

Re: Newly built kit, stock settings, n00b user
More news from n00bville (Hey, I just figured out how to use 'support material') Ordinary average guy owner. Have had a few filament jams (seems hatchbox glow-in-the-dark and wood PLA have some kind of issue I can't figure out) but the RMV2 just keeps on working, maybe not optimized but works ...

Re: Newly built kit, stock settings, n00b user
One more easy job - another n00b user, default settings, just d/l something interesting and print it out! This Julia vase I did as a solid, altho I d/l the 'shell' version, then next print just check the box [x] Spiral Vase and re-generate, and got a really nice translucent fractal cup! Wife is ...

Newly built kit, stock settings, n00b user
Just though I'd share the first BIG print from the RMV2 assembled in the two days following Christmas, pretty much all stock out of box settings - have not had much time to tweak. Got a spool of PLA in yesterday, some blue tape from the wift and after a cube test print let 'er rip - all night long ...
