Cura Slicere not working on 1.75
I am trying to use the Cura slice engine on Mattercontrol 1.7.5. (for some prints it works better than matterslice I have discovered) Cura worked perfectly on 1.6x release. However 1.7.5 is no Bueno. Version/material: Mattercontrol 1.7.5 RostockMax V2 ABS Symptoms: 1. Print will initiate as expected ...

Re: SSR keeps blowing on 24V Heated bed
All, Thank you for the valuable input on this. I have resolved this issue using the instruction gained here. 1. bought Auber relay. DC DC 100A. (actually bought 2 just in case) Thanks Xenocrates! 2. boughht new Onyx ver7. However, after removing original from system I did a new resistance check. it ...

Re: SSR keeps blowing on 24V Heated bed
Hi IMBoring25, I think my problem is a bit more sinister than having output misswired. 1. I had actually tried this awhile back and confirmed wiring was correct. LED lite on is correct wiring. 2. Bench test of SSR before installing into system proved proper operation. 3. After attempt to run on ...

Re: SSR keeps blowing on 24V Heated bed
Xenocrates, I Will certainly take your advice and use the better quality SSR. Thank you very much for the help. However, I cannot be sure this is the root cause. as yet another SSR blew immediatly upon energizing device. So, before I fry a quality SSR I need to sort out the real cause of my ...

Thank you for the input on this. I have one last question. Would the more rapid cycle kill my SSR? I have set PID to 2, now all I need to do is wait for new SSR to arrive. I will post result.

Re: SSR keeps blowing on 24V Heated bed
No not getting hot. They just get stuck in the closed state. It was strange as I had it working awhile back very happily. Then all of a sudden not so happy. Yes, SSR is DC-DC. I do not think the issue is with the PID or frequency related because SSR stays in closed state no matter what I do. I ...

SSR keeps blowing on 24V Heated bed
awhile back I upgraded my onyx 12V bed to 24V using 35amp power supply and SSR. My problem is that I my SSR's keep malfunctioning where the SSR will stay in the closed position permanently. Checklist: 1. does SSR have acceptable current rating. Yes, I have used 40A and 100A with same result. 2. Is ...

Prints poorly after update
After spending many hours. (MANY) Tuning, fine tuning, tuning again.... I had gotten mattercontrol to work extremely well on my rostock max v2. However, about a week or so ago I got a prompt from within the mattercontrol GUI that an update was available. So I blindly ran update. This turned out to ...

Re: 2 in 1 Dual Extruder immediately blows fuse.
Yep. it has to be a faulty element. it should be 3A 36W with 4ohm@12V. That will teach me to buy the cheap gear.... again....
Thanks!

2 in 1 Dual Extruder immediately blows fuse.
Hello all, I bought a 2 in 1 extruder awhile back and am only now getting around to installing. Everything appears to be fine accept when I try turning on heat to new extruder. As soon as I turn on the preheat on matter control. Fuse F3 blows on Rambo. The only difference I can see visually is the ...

Re: Can I use 2 standard MaxV2 Pwr supplies in series for 24V
Tincho,
Are you not using a heatsink on your SSR? Have you by any chance calculated what the wattage is for SSR?
I selected a 60A SSR from amazon. Not sure of the quality. I should probably put this on a heatsink to be safe. What are your thoughts on this?

Re: Can I use 2 standard MaxV2 Pwr supplies in series for 24V
Eric, Xeno, Thank you for the excellent feedback. I am abandoning the idea of squeezing power supplies into chassis and will simply add a 24V 30A externally. (yes, 30A is a bit overkill but the price was almost the same as 25A so why not) Question: I see other 24v upgrades on forum and they tend to ...

Re: Can I use 2 standard MaxV2 Pwr supplies in series for 24V
Yes, it looks like it will be pushing the limits a bit. 1.1ohm bed @ 24v appears to be about 22A All other devices combined not including anything extra appear to be about another 10A. I would have liked to shoe horn everything into the lower chassis but maybe this is not such a great idea. Thanks ...

Can I use 2 standard MaxV2 Pwr supplies in series for 24V
Question, Why couldn't I use 2 of the standard rostock max v2 power supplies in series to create my 24V supply for heated bed? Does this supply not allow a series interface? Would this supply enough current for both the Rambo and bed? I am guessing not. What is the total current load for a stock ...

Re: Bed Leveling Woes
Hello Izzy, I had a similar scenario with leveling and belt fray. What I discovered was, I had actually installed the Z axis stepper pulley backwards. This made the stepper and belt act inconsistently, as well as allowing belt to rub on pulley with lots of torque. not good. Now that the pulley is ...

Re: 3 in 1 extruder
Roger that Xenocrates. will avoid the knockoffs.
After researching this a bit, I am going to opt for the cyclops on this machine. Trying to keep it simple as I am still fairly new to the 3D printer scene.
thanks for the good info.

Re: 3 in 1 extruder
I saw one in action on youtube and it got me thinking. it appears to be readily available for the Kossel and can be found on Amazon.
Anycubic 3 in 1 Out Multi-Color Extruder Hotend for Kossel Reprap 3D Printer
This would require 3 cold end extruders.

3 in 1 extruder
Question:
Is there a way to add a 3 in 1 extruder to Rostock Max V2? It appears my Rambo 1.3 can only handle a dual extruder.
Thanks for any info.
