Re: LACK of v2->v3 buyers remorse?
hmmm if you have the v6 it's like the same, aside from the no auto calibration in z height. at least... that what i think is from the new v3 package. compared to my v2, thats really the only feature my v2 doesn't have. and due to motors and everything else being on top, wiring is easier, so i think ...

Re: Another blown Rambo Board =P But can we save it?
I am curious that you say the older board behaves differently. In what way? i think it's minor but, it's not anywhere near as smooth as the v2 rambo, in terms of just rail movement, i've uploaded the exact same settings from my rambo to another, and it seem to work fine without much calibration ...

Another blown Rambo Board =P But can we save it?
as the title says, I've blown a rambo board. the heat bed terminal melted, so i had fun sawing it off, and then saw the capacitor was blown, so the question is can i get it fixed? or is it too far gone... I've placed my older v1's rambo in my v2, it's a bit older variation it seems.... but it also ...

Very much enjoyed looking at your setup, can you provide link to that fire extinguisher on the inside on your enclosure? Thanks

Need your knowledge on lcd cable.
Hey guys, I'm still in the process of rebuilding one of my rostock, so I'm trying to figure out what is the longest length or LCD cable I can use for the 2004 LCD from the kit. So I have my printers in a closet, and I've built basically two cubbies in the closet to house the printer's, and soon it ...

Re: Bondtech QR extruder, jammed
talked to martin, he just said to drill it out with a 2mm drill bit, and i did, except with a smaller 1.5mm bit and ate away at the plastic until i could grab it out with tweezers.
gonna try a print again soon, see how it works, i've changed the filament... sigh, don't trust that roll anymore.
thanks

Bondtech QR extruder, jammed
So I've been trying to print, and after a while i've noticed that the first layer are coming out really bad, and now the jams happen more frequently, after a misprint two nights ago, i called it a night and turned off the printer after cooling down,Turned it on today to find a jam, i immediately ...

Re: Building a Rostock Max V2 with a twist, help required.
okay, I've loaded the slicer settings you suggested, we'll see how it goes, the retract was really loud, so i think 110retract was way too much. i did play around with octoprint, it was pretty cool. I couldn't get octoprint to actually print, but the camera feature was sweet. I couldn't get the ...

Re: Building a Rostock Max V2 with a twist, help required.
Hey guys! after some busy weekends, I've assembled the v2 and it was up and running for a bit, now I'm running into problems of jams, just like my v1. they both continuously jam, I've changed the bowden a few times now, and it still jams. I however think it has something to do with my retraction on ...

Re: rostock keeps jamming
So it still keeps jamming, mostly on big prints, either one or two of these happen. 1 the Bowden tube connector near the cold end pops out, and filament no longer goes through. Or 2 the plastic jams from hot end side? Or a combination of both This happens when I'm trying to print the rostock ez ...

Re: rostock keeps jamming
alright, so this is what i found out. it's a mixture of what you're saying and my own personal mess up. so yes, there was a type of pla i was using that just did not want to print very well. but the stock white works fine, for now. It's printing pla @210 with fan on, and bed @60. I found the culprit ...

rostock keeps jamming
Hey guys, While I was waiting for the 713 mount to arrive, I ended up just buying another stock kit and setting it up because... its taken like a month or two now just to wait for parts, was getting impatient. However in my other machine with stock ez-struder and stock hotend, my filament keeps ...

Re: Building a Rostock Max V2 with a twist, help required.
oh i've seen this come up but, does it matter between getting 12v and 5v fans? i would imagine it would, since a psu is 12v? i'm not familiar with power ratings and such. saw some talk about getting noctua's 40mm's but theres two versions, but i'm not sure if i want to pay the premium for those tiny ...

quick question, i'm getting the last few pieces that i seemed to have forgotten, but What would you suggest as good layer cooling fans. is 40mm the standard? mostly going to print pla, so i would like to have the trio cooling fan setup. currently waiting on the 713 mount for my v6 and the pei layer ...

Although I agree with (and certainly subscribe to) 'Go Big or go Home' you might also consider putting this one back together as stock. That way you will have plenty of support here on the forums, experience an easier learning curve, and end up with a 'nice enough unit' for much less than retail ...

Re: Building a Rostock Max V2 with a twist, help required.
yeah, it's pretty bad, so far, i've ordered the newer arms/cheapskate carriage set, new bearings for the other 9 that need to be replaced, and the cold end and hot end i'm currently debating. I think i'm gonna go with the v6 because it's pretty widely used, but probably will get the bondtech cold ...

Hello SeemeCNC forums members and moderators, I recently just ventured into buying a Rostock Max v2, however, the one i purchased (from ebay) comes incomplete. currently it is on it's way to my residence, waiting on the delivery of the product. However from the ebay pictures of the auction, I can ...
