Modified Crosman 1377 Air Pistol
I modeled and printed a few parts for my Crosman 1377 multi-pump air pistol. Here it is in its stock form: 1377C.jpg First, something I *didn't* 3d print was the grips, which were custom molded to my hands with 2 part epoxy putty. Then came the pump arm which was made to be bigger and beefier and ...

Re: Making two useless vacuums into one good one!
So I finally go around to printing this and it has seriously helped out around the house. IMAG3692_small.jpg I bought a floor nozzle from Amazon for cheap, and whipped up a simple adapter in openscad to adapt it to the PVC (STL is attached in this post, if anyone wants it.) Now after dinner with the ...

That looks awesome. I was a ghostbuster last year for halloween (my son was the Stay Puft Marshmallow man), and all I had was a cheezy inflatable proton pack I got from amazon.
I also have that phone from work and it's the worst thing ever.

Hey as a complete noob when it comes to RC quadcopters, is a little one like this X4 a good place to start? How do the Hubsan quads compare to the Symas?

wait, you didn't leave the the little tag exposed on the command strip? How are you going to remove it? You need to be able to pull down on the tag to release the adhesive.

Awesome! I have a dc34 also and was planning on modeling something to attach a pipe for floors. You just saved me the trouble. Thanks!

Re: e3d V6 Rostock Max mount
You know that gap bugged me on my v5 hot-end, but it never did move at all so I didn't bother changing it. Looking at it again this morning I've just tried to force it up, but can't and in my fuzzy morning mindset I cannot fathom why it doesn't move. It looks like it should. Just in case, I've ...

Won't the hotend be free to slide up and down if the green part isn't as thick as the "groove" in the hot end?

Re: Custom ABS filament
Have you tried to price out everything required to make one of these? I think you'll find itll be hard to do it cheaper than filastruder, and it's all been thought out for you. I, too, am just a random guy on the internet, but I think the filastruder kit is a pretty good deal.

Re: Custom ABS filament
Filastruder is now taking orders for their DIY kit. From the information in the kitbom.com link, it looks like filastruder is selling these things almost at cost. I think I'll pick up a kit when I'm done with my next spool of filament... 8 bucks for 2lbs of ABS is pretty tempting..

What if you carried the triangle motif into the first "O" as well? I think it would bring more consistency to the word. As it is now, the second "O" is read as an "A".

Hey does anyone know where I can go to get a new smart controller adapter like the one that comes in our kits for the Rambo? Re: Small camera stabilizer
Absolutely. The choice of fiberglass rods wasnt to save weight, it was to use what I had on hand. The published scad files are there so you can modify the parts and use whatever you have on hand. One could use wood dowels, bamboo, or even printed rods. A few months ago I was playing around with a ...

Small camera stabilizer
I was tired of watching my dad taking shaky videos of my 18month-old kid when he's running around. So I looked into stabilizers/steadicams. There are lots of solutions out there, from the expensive , to the ugly . I focused in on a diy version of the Merlin, and was inspired by wsclater's works. So ...

Re: Extruder Calibration
You can make "thin-wall" prints by slicing solid objects with a single loop/perimeter and 0% infill. Simple solid objects are very easy to make with OpenSCAD . A solid cube is done with this single line of code: cube(30); Hit F6 to render, then Design>Export as STL I've attached the resulting STL to ...

Re: Making an aluminum base and top, Need Your Feedback
To be honest, I'm not sure there is much of a market for this. Folks who already own a Max probably don't want to do a complete teardown/rebuild of the machine once it's up and running. At $250+markup you're probably limited to selling to those building a new printer from scratch, i.e. not from a ...
