In the injection molded carriages, the wheel bearings are held in place by two press-fit pieces. When you bump the nozzle on something (e.g. the print plate), the two pieces can get pushed apart, allowing the wheels to wobble.

What I ran into with the injection molded carriages was: When the nozzle bangs into something (e.g. the print plate), the blue injection molded pieces in the carriage that hold the wheel bearings in place separate. Once they separate, the bearings are no longer held in place, and there is slop in ...

Is the distance between the top and bottom plates exactly the same for all towers? When you home the machine then move the extruder nozzle down to near the base of each tower, in order to set the zero-adjust screws for each carriage, how different were the Z distances? The Rostock MAX v2 design ...
