This is so cool. You motivated me to solve the same behavior. I think if your slicer supports an ending script to turn off the hotend and bed, an M107 command should automatically turn the fan off as part of the process. Man... I've been bugged by that but never motivated enough to fix it. But ...

I've been tinkering around and found thst my nozzle diameter was set to 0.5mm the default setting. Since I had installed an e3d v6 hot end while I built my rostock I didn't think of changing this... probably missed it in the instructions... I'm having some issues with my layers. I'm not sure what's causing this as most of the part will print just fine and then Ill get these areas were it seems like the filament just didn't melt..
