Re: 2 INTO 1 DUAL FILAMENT FEED ADAPTER COMPLETE KIT
Glacian, There is no code entered for Tool Change in my S3D profiles. There is only the typical simple start and end commands for the print. It must be relying on the firmware to do the filament swap when switching extruders. What I am looking for is not a youtube video of what is already working ...

Just wondering where in the firmware there is a way to disable the automated filament change in order to use S3D's build in change.

2 INTO 1 DUAL FILAMENT FEED ADAPTER COMPLETE KIT
Is there any way to disable the filament changing in the firmware? Simplify3D has tool change scripts and custom retraction on toolchange which will work fine to customize this for each brand and type of filament. The firmware method leaves blobs everywhere.

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
UPDATE: The current development firmware branch: https://github.com/seemecnc/Firmware/tree/dev fixes the bed leveling on our test Max V3.
I'll be removing the ferrite beads on the v3 as well as testing this on a V2 next week.

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
Check my mechanical notes on the v3 build. This can also be the cause of many first layer leveling issues: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=112&t=11104 Here at the shop, not one of us have put ferrite on our machines. I agree that ferrite can't hurt. If miaviator was in house at SeeMeCNC ...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
Here are the requested pictures- please note I tried running the wires straight through first and then the loop around, both with no improvement of the first layer of the test circle. There is a significant difference in your wiring and my/testA wiring. The plastic cap is off your HE280 and there ...

Hey y'all. I haven't been on this forum since the MAx V1! It's nice to see familiar voices still solving problems. I was impressed by the probe and I needed to dedicate a machine to a 3-4 month project so I picked up the V3 because meet the project demands. My bed leveling issue are exactly the ...

I am suspending further testing to see what the solution is. They said they will report the solution to the forum. Can't wait to have ...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
Stopped by my local RadioShack and found that they sell three sizes of Ferrite Beads. I bought all three sizes, each size has two per pack. When I got home I used the Small 3.5mm ID for the Rambo Board. The largest which has 3/8 ID was used at the Hot End. So far things are looking better at the ...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
Well, this is not going to be good news... I did a series of tests to validate if the beads were the silver bullet, they are not. This one was an easy test. Basically, I did 3 calibration runs with the beads on, three with no bead at the effector and three with no beads at all. If interference was ...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
Thanks Tim, this is an odd one. I have had mini calibrate perfectly some times but the vast majority I get the low spot between X and Z. The fact that it is so systematic for a number of us leads me to believe a solution will be found. I've not had a chance to do more probing today to test the ...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
3mm are the smallest I could find so that's what I got. A pack of 10 on Amazon. Before everyone goes off and does this I'd wait a week until a few of us/me verify that it actually solves the problem. Cutting the heat shrink around the connector in order to insert the bead is a one-way change and ...

Hmmm, makes my want to run down to radio shack. Did you try any other combinations? IE putting it around the entire effector wire bundle? Nope. (If it works, don't overengineer it?) Keep in mind we were doing a free repair for someone we met on reddit not an official diagnosis or problem solving ...

Re: P003A HE280 [Solved?] Auto Leveling Issue/Bed Leveling Issue/Calibration
I'm still really struggling with this bed leveling/calibration issue. I have tried adjusting temps, several calibrations, decreasing the probe radius, using only 3 clips, using washers on the bed clips, etc. and it still seems like it's printing on a slant. See how it's super smushed on the right ...

The retraction issues are the most prevalent thing.
Have you tuned the retraction settings for your filament, print speed, cooling, etc?
