Re: Setting up Cura with Octoprint
I should have looked more closely. It doesn't matter much now anyway, I'm trying to ferret out mhackney's info on KISSlicer anyway, which appears to be the better choice.

Setting up Cura with Octoprint
Hi guys, So I've gone through all the procedures of setting up my V3 for wifi printing with octoprint and it's all fine, however now I'm trying to set up cura on my PC for faster slicing and gcode export. However when trying to add a new printer, there is no option for a circular bed as shown in the ...

Re: Changing speed settings doesn't seem to make any difference?
Cooling is at 60% layer fans, unsure about the hotend fan. Where can I change the minimum layer time setting?
EDIT: Got it! I'll test it.

Changing speed settings doesn't seem to make any difference?
Hi guys, When I change the speed settings in mattercontrol, the only one that seems to be different is non print moves. Sometimes when I bump things like the perimeter speeds up to 300mm/s or so the time estimation is longer, and the perimeters are certainly not printing at that speed. What's going ...

Re: Can anyone help me print a better Benchy?
Thanks, those helped a lot. Adding a negative value to restart extrusion has done a lot to fix it. Now I just need to find the right balance.
One day I will reach the Benchy limit. But it is not this day.

Can anyone help me print a better Benchy?
Hey guys, I've been playing around with the settings on my V3 for a few days and I have got better, but I'm still not happy with the prints. Can anyone suggest ways to correct the issues I'm having? This last Benchy was printed in PLA with: Speed: Temp: 210 Infill: 40mm Inside Perim: 30mm Outside ...

Re: V3 Thermistors read room temp for a few seconds on start and then DEF
Yes that makes sense, it's fine now that it's on the table. The temps still fluctuate a little on the LCD but appear to be stable in mattercontrol. Now I just need to figure out why it isn't doing anything when I print the V3probing gcode. It returns the hotend to the top when I click cancel but ...

Re: V3 Thermistors read room temp for a few seconds on start and then DEF
They jump around a little, but the bed reads about 17 and the hotend reads 19. Room temp is about 19, but it's colder near the floor as this room isn't very well insulated and the weather is very cold at the moment so I'm not surprised there's a difference. I've moved it onto a table to see if that ...

V3 Thermistors read room temp for a few seconds on start and then DEF
Hi guys, I have a problem with my thermistor readings having just uploaded all the firmware. When I power up the printer, the thermistors seem to read around room temp for about 17 seconds and all seems well, but after that they both read DEF. I'm guessing this means that the connections are ok, so ...

My finished V3 Kit
Hey guys, here she is! What a beaut! I think it probably took me 20 or so hours all told. I'm moving house this weekend so no time to get the firmware sorted right now, but hopefully the maiden print will be next week! I have to say this is an outstanding quality of kitting. I have absolutely no ...

Re: Just built my Rostock V3 and have some stupid questions sorry.
Ha for sure! Well I've got a big roll of PLA to burn through, I think I'll do a few benchy's first to dial it in. Fingers crossed everything is soldered to what it's supposed to be soldered to!!

Just built my Rostock V3 and have some stupid questions sorry.
Hi guys, I just finished my RoMax build and I have to say this is a 10/10 kit, it went together splendidly and is so cleverly designs. SeeMeCNC gets a huge thumbs up. However I'm completely new to 3D printing and all the software and hardware knowledge that comes with it. I'm at the stage where I ...

Sure! Here are some links to work I have shown on Reddit. Unfortunately a lot the work I do is under NDA's so I can't show some of the defence and engineering stuff just yet, but my hobby market work is something I can show. Hi guys, modelmaking company here with my first printer.
Hi all, Nice to finally join you! I'm a UK based freelance model maker, and I'm currently investing in my own 3D printing capabilities. I'm about half way through my Rostock Max V3 kit, and I have also backed the Morpheus delta KS for fine detail parts. Previously I've been sending parts out to ...
