i have just commented on the thread to see what it was that solved the issue....
Mine is very similar to the issues they were having with the fkashing led etc.

I have checked the fuses on the board. All 3 are good. caps look good with no signs of damage. I2c is getting signal through. If you increase your layer thickness you need to increase your temp accordingly.
I print .32mm layers at a minimum of 210 most of the time at 220 due to the high print speed.
Up your temp to 210 for a start to see if you see any change on the same part.

Remember, only change one thing at a time.

Yep, i have cleared and uploaded the firmware a few times.
that was my original problem. I couldnt get theeprom sketch to upload.
disconnected the i2c lead and it loaded fine.
plug it back in and arduino wont communicate with the rambo.
