Re: i2c error accelerometer failed to initialise

I have checked the fuses on the board. All 3 are good. caps look good with no signs of damage. I2c is getting signal through. I can move the x y and z axis in matter control if i disconnect it. i cant if i plug it back in. I get a hardware malfunction with it disconnected. I get a initialization ...

Re: i2c error accelerometer failed to initialise

Thanks for your input. I have checked the plug to the hotend and have pushed the connections in to ensure they are not the issue. I get a different responce in matter control terminal when i disconnect the i2c lead from the rambo board. This tells me (in my mind) that its got a good connection, it ...

Re: Ugly seams, under extrusion?

If you increase your layer thickness you need to increase your temp accordingly.
I print .32mm layers at a minimum of 210 most of the time at 220 due to the high print speed.
Up your temp to 210 for a start to see if you see any change on the same part.

Remember, only change one thing at a time.

Re: Worth it?

My 2 cents.. I have s3d and just about every other slicer you can think of. s3d forum is crap, yes. the actual program is great however. In my opinion. 3d printing is pretty much my job. I have a lot of different machines with very different settings. i find s3d the best and easiest to switch ...

Yep, i have cleared and uploaded the firmware a few times.
that was my original problem. I couldnt get theeprom sketch to upload.
disconnected the i2c lead and it loaded fine.
plug it back in and arduino wont communicate with the rambo.

Re: i2c error accelerometer failed to initialise

Pretty certain all the connections are spot on as i have checked that over and over... i have the i2c plug disconnected it the second pic and pluged in on the first.1 It all works perfectly in mattercontrol with the i2c lead disconnected. .. apart from the fact that it wont print... but i can move ...

i2c error accelerometer failed to initialise

Hi, I have been troubleshooting my new V3 build for the last week and I think I have uncovered the cause of all my issues.... When I connect my printer to Mattercontrol I get a hardware malfunction warning. If I unplug the i2c cable from the rambo I can manually move the printer axis around with no ...

Re: Rambo eeprom timout

Hi again. Just an update. i managed to get the eeprom clear sketch to work this evening! what i ended up doing was holding in the reset button on the rambo, then turning the printer on whilst still holding it in. i had the sketch ready to go before all this. I then released the reset button and ...

Re: Rambo eeprom timout

Yeah it does seem like a communication issue but I can confirm that I am on the correct port, COM3 in my case. I have tried both though, COM 1 & 3 with no change. Correct board selected with the correct processor and COM. I have opened up device manage and can see the COM 3 port change when it ...

Re: Rambo eeprom timout

Hi Eric, Thanks for your input. You are correct, I get it with any sketch. I have not tried the blink sketch specifically on this board. On the topic of blinking though. The status LED flashes flatout all the time regardless of what is going on. which is odd behaviour at best. Even just after I turn ...

Rambo eeprom timout

Hi everyone. Having some issues with the rambo in my new V3 build. I have submitted a support ticket with Seemecnc and am currently going through all the troubleshooting with them. Just thought id also post it here to see if the collective knowledge could help the process along a bit. Problem is ...
