Ok im a dingus....after digging into the forums I saw someone with a similar problem fix it by lowering the retraction speed. Mine was set all the way at 65mm...I dropped it to 25 and no more jams

Usually a first layer gets printed more slowly. Try to decrease the overall printing speed. I also suffered a lot from cloggs. My guess is that the heat transfer capacity of a standard E3D v6 is rather low and therefore hasty people (like me!) want to melt too much filament in too little time. The ...

Did you change the thermistor settings in the firmware for the nonstandard hot end and retune PID? Yes You may need to change the max PID drive upwards since the standard E3D heater is only 25W. Ok I fixed the temp problem, I had the hotend incorrectly assembled, the part cooling fan was too close to the heat block. I assembled it correctly and now I dont have temp problems. It jams constantly though...enggmaug wrote:Have you checked the Max Temp setting in your Firmware ?
