Re: Printer Finally up and running
Hey thanks. So by the cold extruder calibration you mean the triffid hunter calibration? http://reprap.org/wiki/Triffid_Hunter%27s_Calibration_Guide ^this one? If so whats the easiest way to figure out this information? Know your stepper motors' full steps per revolution value. steps = 360 / angle ...

Printer Finally up and running
Finally printed out my first test cube. Its far from being perfect, I have not done any fine tuning yet on the extruder, and i think i detected some slight slanting as well, accepting any and all tips for fine tuning, so I can make my next cube a perfect one! Thanks in advance [img]http://i131 ...

Re: EEPROM set to 0 Rostock not responding
Yeah my LCD screen does not seem to boot up when i fire up the machine.
Its just blank, I switched my board a while back because it had a bad bootloader.
I think the screen is confused about the switch or something.
There is no issue with the wiring it is wired exactly as is stated in the manual.

Re: EEPROM set to 0 Rostock not responding
Hey
I checked out the firmware in device manager Windows 7
It says driver version is 1.0.0.0
Signer: ultimachine
I do believe i am running a v1 it came with Steves extruder as the default extruder.

EEPROM set to 0 Rostock not responding
Hi Im calibrating the printer radius, and the most recent manual says i need to set my EEPROM to 0 so as not to avoid issues while calibrating printer radius. I changed the EEPROM value back to 1. But now the printer is still not responding, it was responding just yesterday. This is my second time ...

Re: Taavs Build Thread
Hey not seeing anymore smoke so everything seems fine now. Just a question I am now configuring the end stops, and i am slightly unclear about the instructions in the manual. Should the heat be on while i do this? How is it different from configuring the Z height, also I dont quite understand the ...

Re: Taavs Build Thread
Hi yeah so i did the whole foil thing again yeah it smoked up quite a bit like before, but after about 1 minute the smoke stopped. Whatever was burning apparently got burnt up already, i let the machine sit at 190C for a good 3 minutes, plus cool down time and no more smoke came out still i think it ...

Re: PID Autotune Failed timeout
Hey HI UPDATE The wiring was a little off i fixed it everything works fine now. Ran the PiD weirdly though i got 2 PID values, not sure whats going on here. Also after the PID routine the arm giggled a little, it was a bit odd, thought i should report these minor hicups anyway. By the way these are ...

PID Autotune Failed timeout
Hey trying to run my PID command M303 P1 S60
It brings the temperature up to around 54C then i get this message PID autotune failed timeout.
not sure whats causing it, the board seems to heat up just fine though, not sure whats causing it to stop.
Is it a power issue?

Re: Taavs Build Thread
Hey thanks for the reply Covered the resistors in RTV I was pretty thorough still got smoke bubbling up from the hot end though, I think the variety of RTV i am using is not ideal. (its silicon based) I am considering just using a heater, is there a particular type of heater that you can recommend ...

Re: Taavs Build Thread
Hey Update my resistors arrived in the mail recently, and I just want to know, what is the best technique for wrapping the aluminum foil around the resistors to prevent shorts? Also what is a good ammount should i totally cover the thing in foil or just put a little. Any good suggestions to make ...

Re: Operation Flash boot
Hi Eaglesoar
You are absolutely correct, there is no sense in turning something this delicate into what would ultimately amount to a learning session.
I will order a proper adapter and follow the video to precisely.

Re: Operation Flash boot
Hey guys my supplier said that if i use single pin jacks, then i only need to connect 1 ground to the Rambo, can you guys confirm this?
It seems sensible, but what did toyguy mean when he said you can put all the ground wires into one?

Operation Flash boot
Alright guys so it looks like I have a bad bootloader So I plan on flash booting a boot loader to my rambo. This is an Atmega programmer, it is compatible with Atmega 2560, which is the part type of the ...

Re: Weird behavior with Arduino and Repetier
Hmmm thanks Toyguy. This issue arose when i first tried loading firmware onto the Rambo, I ordered my kit back in july, that was when the motors were still the older ones the black/blue/red/green wires, so its the Rambo that comes with that kit. I am going to do more research and get to the bottom ...

Re: Weird behavior with Arduino and Repetier
I really don't think anything is wrong with the hardware because since last week i hardly even laid a finger on the printer. The only thing i did was to move the arm up slightly which engaged the motors while they were off. I know one shouldnt engage the motors while off because its bad for the ...

Re: Weird behavior with Arduino and Repetier
Okay So i tried installed repetier on my other computer, and same issue.
Its definitely something to do with the USB, I wonder how this happened as far as i know nothing is different. I will buy a new usb wire and try that out.
I really hope nothing is wrong with my Rambo.

Hey Geneb thanks for replying right away.
On repetier its 250000
And on Arduino firmware it says this
