Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

abs juice works really well for me. and i dont even measure it, i guess guessimate, and it works everytime. have you been able to check you your bed temperature with contact type thermocouple meter? No, I don't have one of those yet. I guess I will need to look for one of those. What temp do you ...

Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

I am not having any luck with this printer. I should probably offer it up for sale before I take a hammer to it...although the pleasure I might get from that might be worth the $1000 right now... I bought a 25mm fan for the hotend, but it still gets stopped up if I try to use the PLA, so that didn't ...

Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

my heat bed is usually at 85C for abs. what are you using to stick the abs to the build surface? acetone mixed with abs works very well with no warping. also known as abs juice. also your temps maybe off, from your saying. have checked the hot end and heat bed with a thermocouple meter? this step ...

Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

Hello everyone! I am still having GREAT trouble printing with ABS. I just cannot get it to stick. I think I might not be getting the Onyx hot enough. I have tried several setting from completely off to 100 degrees. I am trying to let it get hotter, but it keeps kicking off and displays "killed" on ...

Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

He's referring to a setting in the Arduino IDE. I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Just know that v0023 is going to look for and read/write a "main" file ending in PDE. The newer releases of the IDE look for INO _or_ PDE, but will _write_ INO unless told otherwise. From a user standpoint, don ...

Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

Hello All, Ok, I think I have things set up ok. All of the mechanicals seem to be working as they should. I think my problem now is probably user error. For my curent printing surface, I am using 3/16" glass. (I have the boro plate on order) But I just can't seem go get the plastic to stick very ...

Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

I am now at the calibration stage. All of my axes are moving up and down as they should. They go home with a G28 G-Code. I did have to change the Z_HOME_POS in the configuration.h file up to 270 to get the hotend close enough to the bed to touch the paper. My issue now is - with these settings ...

Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

I have another question about the software. When I load the configuration.h file into the Arduino IDE, after I save it, I cannot load it back again into the IDE. I have to unzip a new one and then load it into the IDE. For example: I load the configuration.h file into the IDE.. I make changes to the ...

Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

Does anyone have a picture of the LCD adapter board that has been assembled correctly? I put mine together, but I soldered all of the connectors on the same side. Now that i know what it is supposed to do, I think this was a bad idea.. :( Thanks in advance ! Have a GREAT DAY !! Buck_weat http ...

Re: Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

Hello everyone, Does anyone know where I can purchase the connectors that go on the stepper motors? I screwed up a couple of the ones that came with the kit. I will look at JameCo, but I don't know the name of the connector. Apparently, forcing the pins into the connector with needle-nose isn't the ...

Buck_weat's First RoStock Max

Hello everyone! I just received my Max kit today and got the base together. I noticed on mine that the "support" and "electronic" doors seem to have their labels switched. The electronic door didn't have any holes and the support door had several cutouts and labels. No big deal - I just switched ...

Noobie from Southern Ohio

Hello everybdy! I just received my RoStock Max printer and opened it up. It sure looks like a LOT of stuff, but I think it will be a lot of fun ( I HOPE!) getting it all together and working.

Wish me luck, and have a GREAT day !!
