Re: Rambo need replacing?
I'd check the continuity of your mosfets and all your crimped wires. Make sure nothing is loose, mine sometimes did that when the z-axis motor crimp was loose and it was fixed once i re-crimped it.

Re: Few questions about the rostock
I am doing another print now with the support gap set at a lower .25mm. The biggest difference is turning on the air, it seems to have helped a little bit.

Re: Few questions about the rostock
It has been recommended to use the contact reader at the head and not the nozzle hole. Just unscrew it a bit and put it in there and gently screw back on the nozzle. You appear to have some blobs - which might indicate too much feed and heat. The ideal temp truly is 240 - but yep, you have to find ...

Few questions about the rostock
Hi guys, Been lurking here for awhile now and have been trying to trouble shoot the printer and get it to print reliably. I am still running into a few problems that I'd love some insight into. Firmware: Repetier Max Software: Repetier 0.90C Extruder: Ezstruder Hotend: Seemecnc hotend with heat ...

Re: Slic3r generating unwanted lines in gcode
Here's part of the stl. kisslice generates the gcode without a hitch, and in kisslice, there is a small warning, but nothing major. I haven't done netfab on this particular one, but I generally never had any luck getting better gcode from slic3r after repairing the stl with netfab so i stopped doing ...

Re: Slic3r generating unwanted lines in gcode
yea, I've tried kisslice, and it works better, but I just like the object placement window on slicer better. The problem is really random, and not from the STLs which are generated with solidworks 2013. (i've put them thru netfab and it still generates the same thing. Here's another picture of a ...

Slic3r generating unwanted lines in gcode
I am attaching a picture of what this looks like, this is actually a mild case where it's just an "ring" around the actual part. in some other prints, I have had larger unwanted sections of gcode that translated into parts that does not match the original STL. Any ideas why it's doing this? I'm ...

Re: Aluminum Heat Dissipator plates now available
why not just cnc mill the plates? It would require no second operation other than maybe some deburring. Also, I really think the way the heater is fixtured is the problem. 3 points define a plane, and usually a locating pin, a slot and a loose through hole is the best way to define a plane that will ...

do you find that the seam randomizer give you inconsistent and jagged edges?

Re: Rough Edges
I think if you turn jitter down, that'll eliminate the random start point for each layer, which is the reason for the jagged edges. I've only played with kisslicer for a day, but that's what has worked for me.

Re: mhackney's KISS settings
Thanks for the ini files. It seems that once I slice a file and try to run it in the repetier software, it doesn't turn the extruder heater on, only the bed. I looked at the g-code prefix, and things look okay there with G28 M104 S<TEMP> M190 S<BEDTEMP> M109 S<TEMP> but in repetier, the gcode doesn ...
