Re: Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

I have been out of state for business related dealings and was slightly surprised that this topic died. After returning I sliced up yet another part with slightly over a million lines, and to no surprise for me, the dry run failed just as the others have. I have more or less determined that my ...

Re: Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

As I said there was an issue in the firmware that did something like this, looking at the log after the failure the computer would be always re attempting to send one line over and over. There was a fix out in for it, but this maybe a similar issue. That would be one difference I note so far. My ...

Re: Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

I've printed items with almost 2 million lines of GCode without issues. A pretty good test to see if your having connection issues is to copy the file to SDCard from repetier host with all the logging enabled, it will take a LONG time, but if you see a significant number of red error messages in ...

Re: Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

Or for that matter, >225,000 lines? The part prints off @ .2mm layers (half the number of lines) but I experience drastic buffering/lag issues near the completion. These machines are capable of impressive physical dimensions of printing, but perhaps I have found the limit of what my machine can do.

Re: Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

Unless you are using the exact same settings with the exact same version, I wouldn't steer away to quickly. Both of the other offerings are free, prolly worth a shot. I'm a bit confused by the fan thing. The board is inside the base, but the fan cooled your hot end (was it a house fan?). I have a ...

Re: Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

Do you think the issue is buffer related, like the amount of lines already sent? If not, you could start the dry run a few thousand lines before the problem area. I did find a post on the reprap forums that speaks of related issues: http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?146,67665,110979 If it were me ...

Re: Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

I'm confused. Why would you suggest he contact the hardware vendor for a software issue? If I was having this problem, the first thing I'd do is contact Repetier directly and explain to him what the problem was and see if he had any suggestions. He wrote the firmware, so he's going to know the most ...

Re: Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

Your message has 38 views but no responses. I don't thing you are being ignored, it's just that no one has run into the problem you are having. To get more views and a possible response, create a new thread under troubleshooting. I think it will get more exposure there and a possible answer. I ...

Re: Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

Also worth mentioning that I have tried changing settings in the configuration.h #define MOVE_CACHE_SIZE, #define MOVE_CACHE_LOW, and #define LOW_TICKS_PER_MOVE definitions. No changes I made had positive results.

FWIW: a dry run of the entire code fails at roughly the same point as the real deal.

Print failure RAMBO firmware related?

My question may sound a bit out there, but is there a ceiling on the number of lines of code the firmware can handle? My question stems from a consistent, repeatable, and predictable failure of my prints that have gcode with >225,000 lines. A bit of backstory: Repetier Host v.90c/slicer 0.9.9/.80 ...

Re: EZStruder for Rostock MAX

I had some issues with the adapter plate for the cold end being off a bit, but otherwise the install was super easy. Unfortunately that is were my good luck ended. Not saying it's the unit, but perhaps more operator error...but I can't seem to push 1.75 abs worth a darn with it. Calibrations ...
