Re: Power supply glitch

What trips? The mains power supply? The power supply unit (PSU)? The fuse on the Rambo board? Myself I'm using the PSU that was supplied by SeeMECNC, pretty sure it was 430W On the workbench I assume you have everything connected via the Rambo. How many wires are connected from the PSU to the Rambo ...

Re: Power supply glitch

It is the seemecnc 430 watt power supply. The power supply just quits after about a minute of running both the extruded and heated bed. Either the extruder or bed will run forever but not both at the same time. In a few minutes I can turn it off and then back on and all is good. The wiring seems to ...

Power supply glitch

I have my Rambo running on the workbench now. I have most things running. The 400 something watt atx powers supply I got from seemecnc doesn't seem to be up to the task. I can have either the extruded or the bed running but not both at the same time. The ps trips after only a short time. Is this ...

Re: Working firmware and configuration.h files?

Update... Pressing home all spins the x, y, and z motors a small amount. Good! Heat 1 has voltage. My extruded is connected to heat 0 so changes are needed.

The good news is the it's alive.

Re: Working firmware and configuration.h files?

Thanks for the suggestion. I got the repetier max and loaded it up. The LCD now seems to be functional. Hooray! It makes noise and displays information. Nothing seems to turn on. No motors. No bed heat. No extruded heat. Where is the on button? Sorry for the blatantly noob question. Thanks! Things ...

Re: Working firmware and configuration.h files?

I reflashed the Rambo with repetier. Did configuration.h. Everything compiled but still no LCD. At first it fussed about motor current defined, fixed that... Still no joy but now x, z, and e motors lock up. (A good thing). When I loaded the default configuration.h with board type 33 y and e locked ...

Re: Working firmware and configuration.h files?

I have used "fresh" downloads. Both repetier and marlin. I have looked at all the documentation I can find. I don't care what the thing does. Anything! Motors turning would be thrilling. LCD having anything but white squares would be great. I will load any working configuration.h file. Any firmware ...

Working firmware and configuration.h files?

OK. I'm not having any luck getting anything out of my Rambo with smart controller. The LCD won't compile... I have both Marlin and repetier firmware and can now upload them to the Rambo. Configuration.h fails to compile when I try to include the LCD. So, does anyone have a configuration.h file for ...

Re: Unshrouded LCD header pins

Yes from seemecnc. They are male header pins, not female. Hopefully the picture worked. Definitely not shrouded as the ordering images show. Will they work anyway? No danger to Rambo or LCD?

Unshrouded LCD header pins

I got my smartcontroller to Rambo adapter kit yesterday... The 2 by 5 header pins for the LCD cables are Unshrouded instead of shrouded like the images show. If I install them it will be possible to plug the LCD cables in upside down or backwards. I know plugging the wrong cable into the wrong plug ...

Re: Rambo motor connection

Thanks for the info. I have had vast experiences with that type of connector. Hate them! Break a wire and you have to cut the whole thing off and replace it. Extra parts, extra time, Shorter wires. Got noparts you loose big time. The only winner is the manufacturer. Smaller board, probably easier. I ...

Rambo motor connection

Ok, is it just me or does everyone think those plugs for the motors are obnoxious to deal with? Really, the "official"crimping tool for the terminals costs over $290.00 plus shipping. I know there are less expensive tools available but I don't have one. Not easily fixed if something goes wrong ...

Re: Rambo 1.1b config as it is new?

I plan to build a repstrap. Is the firmware the same for a delta and a Cartesian printer with only a change in the configuration.h or is the firmware different?

Got configs for a prusa i3 or similar with and without LCD?

Thanks for the info.

Re: Rambo 1.1b config as it is new?

Thanks,

Reading the info off the Rambo seems hopeless... Or at least not worth the trouble.

That leaves the old fashion way. Somebody should know what the Rambo ships with and have a copy to share.

Or the other old school way... Just overwrite what's there.

Is it marlin or repetier?

Thanks

Rambo 1.1b config as it is new?

I have a stock out of the box Rambo 1.1b and I'm wondering what the config files are. Or how to read them off the Rambo... Or?

Thanks,
