Re: Repetier Firmware 0.92 - low memory
My apologies. I did not get back to trying this to give log entries for 0.92 on a RostockMax v1 with the rather outdated Rambo board.

Re: Repetier Firmware 0.92 - low memory
In Repetier 0.91.8, I have it set up for the Y adapter software-wise. The Cura option does not work for me either. If I have it disabled, I can use the two extruders and set the temperature at the beginning of the print on Both extruders to get them to work when the pins are set the same. It result ...

Re: Repetier Firmware 0.92 - low memory
I did not think to keep logs. I know that the arduino compiler said it had between 600 and 888 (I forget if it was K or bytes) left.

Repetier Firmware 0.92 - low memory
Hi, all. I just wanted to let you all know that I tried Repetier Firmware 0.92 and the arduino compiler warns about low memory. It then does not want to work after you connect to it remotely to control it. I do not think the old Rambo board has the RAM. Now, I have the fun chore of trying to get my ...

No problem. I hope it is useful to others.Eaglezsoar wrote:Thanks for posting the fan mount!
It is roughly version 2, so the ability of it to clip onto the spacers is not tested yet. I have version 1 on my printer and it was hard to clip on, so I enlarged the cylinder holes in the clips before posting.

Re: Broken internals of a seemecnc hotend
About the fan pointing in between the PEEK parts, You could design a part that looked like the mcdonalds M. With the middle part fitting in between the parts. That way the air would be forced to circulate around the parts. That sounds problematic....especially since I may later on wish to use the ...

Re: Broken internals of a seemecnc hotend
https://plus.google.com/110783321730730684823/posts/Z5FfXJCZ9HM There is a link to my post about my new cooling fan mount. It did not want to clip on as easily as I wanted it to and the fan needs a shim on the side to keep it quiet, but I heated it up to temperature with no problems and I suspect ...

Re: Broken internals of a seemecnc hotend
I have pretty much finished an OpenSCAD copy of https://github.com/seemecnc/RostockMAX/blob/master/PRINTED_ADDONS/70766%2025mm%20fan%20shroud.STL with some adjustments to fit my dual extruder setup. I might end up posting it later. I have that link in the OpenSCAD file. If I can print it out OK, I ...

Re: Broken internals of a seemecnc hotend
By the way, my PEEK fan is pointing inbetween two extruders. It is not pointed at the center of a PEEK heat break. I have tested it though and I can extrude a rather large run of filament with much less in the way of bucking/skipping. This arrangement is about as good as I think I will be able to ...

Re: Broken internals of a seemecnc hotend
OK. I finally have a PEEK fan. It is hooked up directly to one of the 12V cables from the power supply. The mounting is ugly and temporary. I tried to hook it to fan1 on the RAMBO and set the pins.h for it, but it did not want to respond that way or on Fan0 either. Screw it anyways. People say to ...

Re: Broken internals of a seemecnc hotend
Ah. Thanks for the reply. If the outer tube is good, then I should probably be ok assuming I can cut the new teflon tube to the correct length using my dremel tool.
I only use ABS, so I do not plan on using a peek fan. My understanding is that I should not need a peek fan for ABS.

Broken internals of a seemecnc hotend
Besides the teflon tubing which seems to have an identical inner and outer diameter to my bowden tube, there seems to be another piece of tubing. It is cracked. I have more teflon tubing coming in the mail soon, so I think I can replace that easily, but I have no idea where to get the larger bit of ...

It looks like my 4th attempt will be a success. It seems that I needed to update my EPROM with my nozzle offsets. Changing the firmware was doing squat.

Thanks again for the help.

Re: Heating 2nd nozzle requires heating 1st nozzle?
I have a 480W power supply. Do you think it could be that the one pin being set wrong could have caused it to shut down when trying to use both hotends and the heated bed or do you think that was the load balancing feature?

Re: Heating 2nd nozzle requires heating 1st nozzle?
Thanks much dpmacri and Jimustanguitar. I have made that adjustment (switched EXT0_EXTRUDER_COOLER_PIN from 7 to 6). Looking at the schematics, the left 2 pins are ext0 heat, the next 2 pins are ext0 fan, the next 2 pins are ext1 heat, the next 2 pins are ext1 fan, and the final 2 pins are the ...

Re: Heating 2nd nozzle requires heating 1st nozzle?
The firmware does use T0 and T1 to heat them individually. I can set T0 to whatever temperature I want and T1 to whatever temperature I want, but if T0 is not below the desired temperature so that it is given power to heat up, T1 will not be given power.

Heating 2nd nozzle requires heating 1st nozzle?
I have been wanting to do dual extrusion for a while now and I actually have a 2nd extruder set up. Both hotends are using 12V 40W ceramic heater cartridges. It seems that I can't heat the 2nd hotend unless there is power being given at that precise moment to the 1st hotend to heat it. What's up ...

Re: simple old style diagonal arm fix
The rods are on. It is different putting them on when there is no flex, but not too hard. I had to put some rubber bands on because the U-Joints have some wiggle room side to side. It is not totally perfect, but I am pleased. I will be doing calibration sometime tonight or next week. My next prints ...

Re: simple old style diagonal arm fix
Hey, you guys might have spare parts on hand. This is a quick fix to get a person printing again until replacement parts come. By the way, See Me CNC no longer lists the old diagonal arms on the store, so the replacements would be $24 and having to redo all 6 arms. Here it is from SeemeCNC: Rostock ...
