Model not fixing
Attached are a few pics of a issue ive been running into lately. These files were originally made with archicad or 3ds max as a OBJ file, then converted into a STL, then ive tried different combinations of using the netfabb cloud, netfabb basic program, and Deskartes 3data Expert to fix the model ...

Re: Kiss slicer weird output
Hey,
The brim setting is turned off. Still not sure what the issue is. When I alter the settings on the raft, it makes no changes etc. Like for example if I change it to octagonal style of raft.

Re: Kiss slicer weird output
Thanks for all the replies. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:24238 This is the .stl I was using. The kiss is set to 5D absolute. I've been occupied with other stuff recently, and haven't had the time to test it. One thing I also noticed when I've been using Slic3r is that it always puts a raft under ...

Re: Kiss slicer weird output
Do you mean the Kisslicer subforum on seemecnc?
It produced this exact output regardless of .1 infill or 1.0 infill.

Re: Odd layer or starvation issues
Exactly.... haha some good looking coral!
It was at 235 temp, ABS, and this was around 30mm/sec or so, which isn't really that fast.

Attached are a few pictures of odd G code output I am getting from Kiss. One shows the object as it should look, then the other shows the G code as kiss is producing it. I'm not sure what is going on here, everything I slice with Kiss has the same issue. Has anyone else had something like this ...

Attached are a few photos of some recent prints. One is a vase that I stopped around 60% into the printing, you can see there are a lot of holes etc in the side walls. Then there is a figure I printed, and the although parts of it looked ok, the top really was messed up. Any suggestions? These were ...

Re: Print just stopping dead after about 1 hour.
Thats interesting that the shielding would make a difference. Why would the addition of support material cause it to " freeze" 2/3 way through ? Anyone else had this issue exclusively with models that have support?

Re: Print just stopping dead after about 1 hour.
Mine has recently been doing this quite a lot. However it only does it when I need to use support material....Very strange. No idea why it is doing it, however it has done well when printing models that do not need the support. I am using Slic3r.

Hey, Attached are a few pics of some slicing I've done to show what problem I'm having. I downloaded the rostock material spool from thingiverse, and it gives these results when I slice it. Any idea what is happening? I believe my settings are pretty normal, I tried playing with the infill etc etc ...

stepper motor failure
Hey, I feel like im blowing up the board today, but have finally been able to spend a lot of time with the rostock. So today I've managed to print around 5 prints, most coming out pretty well. Tonight, I started to print another, and the X axis stepper motor simply stopped. I tried switching the X ...

Could you elaborate a bit? I'm confused as to how to set the retract function in repetier/ slic3r.
Thanks for the help!

Hey,
I've been playing around with printing two objects at once. Attached are a few photos of the "mess" between the two objects. Anyone else have this happen ? Any suggestions?
Thanks!!

slicing issues ( repetier/slic3r)
This is a repost from the machine specific page, the more I think about it, its a more general thing. Been getting some good prints out of the rostock, but have had some issues with slicing. Sometimes when I import a .stl into the slicer built into the repetier, or even us Kiss slicer, the object ...

issues with slicing ( repetier Slicer)
Hey, Been getting some good prints out of the rostock, but have had some issues with slicing. Sometimes when I import a .stl into the slicer built into the repetier, or even us Kiss slicer, the object will be tilted at a weird angle, or be below the print bed. What is happening ? Then when I try to ...

Re: Mesh wire frame print issue.
Thanks again! So honestly I'm a little confused...Is extrusion width and extrusion multiplier the same thing? So after adjusting the layer height to .1, what would be a good number to use for the multiplier? If the multiplier and width are not the same how do I adjust the width? Also, I plan on ...

Re: Mesh wire frame print issue.
hey, using repetier/slic3r. I'm using hair spray on the bed. So what would be a good value for the extruder multiplier? Also I assume infill should be increased, and layer height decreased. Whats the easiest way to slow speed? Do I need to re-slice every time I adjust things such as multiplier ...

Mesh wire frame print issue.
Hey, finally got the machine printing. Made the test cube and it did great. Then tried to do a "wire-frame". See attached images. Any suggestions to make it look better? I printed it a 225 and I think this was too low, using ABS. Also the bed was at 110. Even when I set the temp high, it reverts to ...

Re: Run job command
Yes to both. Still not sure what is happening. Is there something in the configuration settings when I set up the repetier/slicer settings that would cause this? It just seems strange. What about an issue with manual control vs letting the G code for the sliced file work ?

Run job command
Alright, thought I would try printing the test cube once I got the extruder direction fixed. So I follow the instructions and import the test cube, then slice it, then eventually click run job and nothing happens!!! WHAT?!? lol It's like the tv cutting off before the end of the movie. Anyway... I ...

Re: Print_Radius problem
Thanks! I still can't get the " extrude" to move the filament the correct way regardless of if it is set to true or false. I've double checked all my steps and I am uploading etc etc correctly I believe. Not sure what is going on. It is showing a code error. I attached a pic. I have not edited this ...
scaling
Hey, I am trying to scale objects that I import to the repetier/slicer program. I just cannot find where to click to scale stuff or to set dimensions. For example I made a simple object that is about 10cm in diameter and when I slice it, it becomes 10mm in diameter, and I cannot find how to scale it ...

Re: Print_Radius problem
Hey, Thanks for all the replies. I went ahead and tested the extruder and and no matter how I set the " ext_inverse", when I click the " extrude" on the manual control panel it sends the filament in the wrong direction. I was hoping I could simply do the " true/false" for the inverse config.h and it ...

Print_Radius problem
Alright, so I'm so close to being able to print. I am at the point of running script 4. The machine grabs a piece of paper really nicely with scripts 1-3. However I keep adjusting script 4 and each time it still pins down the paper. I am at around 194.05mm and started at 197.25. It really has not ...
