Rostock Max V1 With Upgrades for Sale
I'm taking offers on a Max V1 with the HE280 and type rail power supply. It works fine, but could use a good tune up. The glass bed has some chips in it. I will also include the old hot end parts and 2 build tack sheets. I'm in the metro Detroit area. I might be able to ship, but I'm not certain how ...

Delta Calibration Wizard Issue
I'm trying to use the Delta Calibration wizard with my printer. It's a bit of a mixed bag, Version 1 with early version 2 arms, rail power supply, and HE280. I messed around a bit in the firmware with getting the lengths to match the old style cheep skates it has. The G-code for probing runs the ...

Small Prints After HE280 Upgrade
My machine is a bit of a Frankenstein's monster...I have a V1 machine with the V2 arms, original laser cut cheep skates, and the HE280. The HE280 is mounted on the V2 end effector platform. Everything is up and running okay, it auto levels and prints fine. It definitely needs some other adjustments ...

Re: Heated Bead Problem/Burn Out
Thanks guys, glad to know it's not just me and just the connection itself. Definitely going to switch to a higher gauge wire. Has anyone had success replacing that terminal block themselves? Here's a close up of the offending terminal: Your other ...

Heated Bead Problem/Burn Out
So yeah...I have been happily printing quite a bit lately. I had left the room to grab something and I came back and smelled the happy smell of burning electronics. Opened up the door to the electronics bay and found the positive on the heated bed melting away. Everything else was running fine ...

Re: Recalibration Issue
Yup...it was the number in the EEPROM with the 0.91 firmware. I followed the V2 calibration procedure and it works fine now.

Re: Recalibration Issue
I was following it...but reading through the firmware update thread it seems as though the Delta Radius is controlled in the EEPROM now, is that possibly what I'm missing? Because I've been changing it in the firmware and it doesn't change the nozzle height at all when running Script 4.

Recalibration Issue
I just got a set of the new arms and end effector platform as an upgrade to my V1. I've gotten the height and all of the end stops calibrated, but when I try to tune the Delta Radius it doesn't seem to be changing the nozzle height at all. I tried flipping the glass plate, thinking that might be the ...

Re: Completed My New Machine
It turns out the tubes inside the hot end weren't positioned correctly. I found a good cross section on the RepRap wiki showing the correct positions. It's working fine now. Diving back into running test prints and tuning! I was also contacted and will be getting a new power supply, so hopefully ...

Re: Completed My New Machine
I do have the 25mm hot end fan installed and set to run all the time while printing. When I took the top of the hot end apart, there was definitely a PTFE tube inside it. Is that supposed to go all the way down to the nozzle? Are there more specific plans/instructions for the hot end available? I ...

Completed My New Machine
I completed my machine Friday after I bought it at the Maker Faire Detroit. I have it working pretty well so far. I've just run into a couple problems with bad leaking of PLA around where the nozzle goes into the block. I'm running ABS through it now, having seen that suggestion some other places ...

New Detroit Area Owner
Picked up a Rostock Max kit at Maker Faire Detroit this weekend. I got the last one they had there! I've had a Thing-O-Matic for about a year and a quarter and the size was just really limiting to me. I'm really excited to get such a huge build area and a much of advanced printer at a fantastic ...
