I just completed my v3 build from the kit with Rpi. When I first connected to OctoPrint, I hit home button but to my horror while x and z went up until they hit the limit switch and stopped on queue, y on the other hand stopped below the limit switch, about a 1/4 inch or so below the melamine at the under side of the top of the printer.
I tried switching to mattercontrol (connected to the rAMBO via usb) and exact same thing happened.
In both programs I can seemingly manually control the platform anywhere below that point with no problems, but if I do anything home related it gets stuck there and just keeps making a loud motor noise.
Im at a loss for why its doing that. Any thoughts?

Re: Tower Y gets stuck - continues making noise
Feeling silly now, but thankful I found the issue. Hopefully this can help others in the future. The issue was crossed wires (literally). I somehow miss labeled my x and y limit switch wires so I plugged them in in the right places per the labels but the labels were backwards.
The behavior was due to the x tower hitting the limit switch, stopping the y tower but continuing to try to move. I thought for well over 2 hours that it was the y tower that was stopped, but also trying to move. hence being very confused!
But on my way to my first v3 print soon!
