Question about using the Smilies in messages

When I add a Smilie to the end of a message it displays the link to the Smilie instead of the actual Smilie.
Could someone tell me how to use the Smilies?http://forum.seemecnc.com/posting.php?m ... 37&p=10137#

So, I did that one by typing ":" and ")".

This one by clicking an icon next to the edit panel.

What are you doing to get links?

I grab the smilie and drop it at the end of the message.

I get it now, you just click the smilie, not grab and drop. Smart in some ways, stupid in others.
