Using FAN2 on the rambo

Post by scrubngbubles »

Hello everyone,

So I want to use the FAN2 port on the RAMBO board as my PEEK Hot end cooling fan. I've tried changing pin numbers (I've been using pin 6 as the FAN2 pin), changing the configuration.h and the pins.h file and have had no luck. Am I missing something is the code? Btw I am using Repetier 091 firmware instead of the current 92 firmware.

You're confusing physical pin with logical pin. Digital pin 6 is Fan1. Digital pin 2 is Fan2.

Thank you for your reply. I tried setting both the EXT0_EXTRUDER_COOLER_PIN and FAN_PIN to 2. But nothing is happening. I also tried changing the HEATER_1_PIN to 2 as well since that was the previous fan port. That did not work. Am I missing a declaration somewhere or am I not putting the right value where it belongs?

Re software, I don't know. I haven't tried to do that.

There are LED's on the Rambo board for all the mosfets, so you can tell when each is operating. If the LED says it's on, but the fan isn't, then it's a wiring or polarity problem.
