Calibration woes

Post by deadpool66 »

Hi guys,
Sorry for all the posts but Im dead set on getting my printer dialed in after upgrading arms,e3d,ect.

My issue is I have a point between y and z were the filament wont stick to the bed. Every time I adjust and reset z height it seems like it throws all the points off. They will be to low then almost perfect adjust and everything is to high again.

Is there an easier way to get this dialed? Which tower should I adjust if the heights off between the two?

Any advice would be great love this printer just want to get it to the same quality as my prusa.

If you've got a v3, can you tell me what the firmware date is that you're using? (turn the knob while the machine is idle and you'll eventually see a page with that info)

Using the alternate calibration method I can get every point correct except between the towers upper right. Not sure what the hell is wrong

If I hadn't just bought the 713 mount and e3d Inwould just get the 280 with probe.

You can use the probe board with the E3Dv6 and the 713 mount. :)

So after going through putting the old arms back on figuring that had to be the issue I think one of my carriages is messed up. Doing the alternate calibration routine I realized one of the towers will be good and then when I run the routine it will be high again. Checked it out and the leveling screw is really loose lots of play. I ordered the trick trucks hopefully this will fix the issue finally.

Geneb is there a detailed guide for adding the probe to a e3d v6?

Not that I know of, but a number of people have done it.
