Hello everyone,
I have been trying to print some parts and I'm having major stringing between them. Included is a picture of some test cubes that demonstrate it more clearly.
I'm printing with Orb Polymer's Blue Octopus 1.75mm PLA. My bed is at 60C and my hotend is at 185C. I have the MAX v2 printer and am using MatterSlice.
The retraction settings that I have adjusted are:
Length on move: 9mm (default is 5mm)
Speed: 45mm/s (default is 20mm/s)
Wipe Before Retract: OFF (default is on)
Speed of the Non-Print moves:
Travel: 150mm/s
If there are any other settings you need to know, just ask. I am listing the ones that I have changed, meaning all other settings should be at default.
In the past I have been able to reduce stringing to nearly none by adjusting the retraction settings, hotend temp, and speed of non-print moves. However, now I am seeing no change regardless of making various adjustments.
Thanks for any tips!

Re: Heavy stringing between parts
Is the same with a lower retraction speed? 20mm/s like default?
Have you tried with a layer cooling fan?

Hello Tincho, sorry for the late reply. I've been having more issues with the printer (but got them all solved)
It is the same with lower retraction speeds.
I have 3 layer cooling fans.
Thanks

Re: Heavy stringing between parts
Bump your travel speeds to 200mm/sec and add in a 4mm Z hop on retract.
You might also experiment with dropping the temp a little bit.
