Extrusion stopped mid-print
Extrusion stopped mid-print
By tightening the belts and loosening the wheels I seem to have managed to drive away the demons that were causing my Rostock Max V2 to go into convulsions at the outset of each printing session. But after one successful print, I started another, only to find that it was printing happily away but no plastic was coming out. The wheel was turning, the reported temperature fluctuating between 208 and 212, but the PLA/PHA mix was no longer flowing. What's going on now - gremlins?

Your hotend is probably clogged, probably from to long and fast filament retractions.

So aside from calling Roto-rooter, what should I do to stop this from happening?

If you've got an HE280, follow these instructions:

If it's the original hot end, I'm betting the heatsink fan isn't running. If it's not either of those, fill out a support ticket and we'll start troubleshooting.
