Extrusion issues

Post by tom10122 »

Got new filament from rainbot3d, had good luck with them so far but New color and new issues, I got a transparent blue and It extrudes very little, even after cleaning the nozzle and replacing the ptfe tube

Different plastics will extrude well at different temps. I have had 2 spools of PLA from the same manufacturer require different temps. I assume the different colors were different batches.

Please do a board search before posting your question, many have been answered with very time consuming detail already.

I love that transparent blue in the sunlight however. It's almost like it colorchanges and glows in the sun. Nice stuff.

I've had PLA that requires anything from 165 to 230 degrees to extrude, with massive temperature variation even from the same supplier. Colors makes a difference, as does the type of plastic, 4043D isn't 4042D etc.
