help with h-1 startup
help with h-1 startup
I have acquired an h-1 from someone on ebay and they have assembled it, but then sold it, without any instructions, so I need to know what to do to get the software to run it, and for that matter which software to use. I have the 3 axis stepper board with the easy stepper add on, which sits on the heat sink, I also have a velman control for the heat nozzle. I am not sure about thw wiring and will rewire it next week so I can be sure that is correct, but as I said ,I dont know what to do after that. cheers fstevens
Re: help with h-1 startup
You'll need a fourth axis to drive the extruder. Is it there?
I run velleman thermostats (under 10 bucks at bgmicro?) to control extruder and heat bed temps (yeah, need the bed). I use Mach3 (about 150.00) to drive the lot. Works well for me and all my other cnc machines. If you want to get into more details I;'ll help all I can markotime at gmail do com
the instructions aren't really summarized very well for total novices, so please ask, /m

He has the easy driver for the extruder, if you don't want to use mach3, I use Linux CNC which is free.markotime wrote:You'll need a fourth axis to drive the extruder. Is it there?
