John, the second part of your link containing the chrome statement, what is that used for?

Probably because I'm using Chrome browser. I didn't cut the string off...It is the browser of choice, isn't it? (LOL)

has anyone used both versions? pollygone's and johns? I've read that polys is a little better..smoother?

You might be thinking Marlin vs Repetier firmware. The firmware in github (https://github.com/seemecnc/RepetierMAX) is based on Polygonhell's changes to the original Repetier firmware in order to make it work with the Rostock MAX and the LCD and SD interfaces.

I mean john and Polly both have repeater firmware. I know john has a Marlin version and now a Rep. That is very similar To pollygons.
