Rostock MAX Assembly: zip ties for stepper wiring

Post by davidsf »

Does the kit come with zip ties to tidy up the stepper motor wiring?

My kit came with a few black zip ties. But they weren't really enough. I had to use a bunch of my own.

You guys should be using waxed lacing tape anyway. :D

I found this lacing string http://www.skygeek.com/blk-string.html

Would that be alright to use? It is significantly less expensive than the one on Amazon.
I have never laced bundles of wires but it is never to late to learn and I found some good
tutorials on Google.

Yep, that's the stuff. Any waxed cord that's flat and is about 3mm wide will be just perfect. Color is up to you. I use white for all my stuff as that's what I've got on hand. :)

[edit - I changed the link in the docs to point to this new source as the price difference is significant. Thanks for finding it!]
