In all seriousness however he is correct, glue sticks rock. Get UHU brand and not elmers however.

I can print nylon(255c taulman 645), polycarb(up to 310c), high temp (260c) high impact crystal ABS. All without setting the heated bed above 40c. And every time it sticks and stays stuck with no curl at all.

I find it best to make two big smears with the stick and then quickly when it's still workable spread it with your hand into a very smooth surface and then allow it to completely dry before you begin printing.

Even works with my ultimachine ABS.

Have not tried it with PLA however.

I have had good results with Staple's brand washable in Jumbo size. I just rubbed on a layer, then smoothed it with my thumb and it held ABS down tight with a bed temperature of 70C.

Are you guys applying the glue when the bed is warm or cold? I can smear glue (Elmer's) around with my thumb, but only when the bed is all the way down to room temperature. If it's warm, it makes thick smears.

On those times I have used it, the plate was at room temp and free of other contaminants.

Is everyone here is applying this to the glass plate? I've been holding off on printing my nylon until I can get a garrolite plate.

Makes the nylon stick like mad to the glass plate. With the UHU glue stick anyways. Allow it to dry before you begin your print. Should look clear. Not milky. No need to reapply after every print. Only after every third(ish) print or so. I like to heat the bed to 40c and no hotter or I find the glue will start to get too soft and not stay put as well. I often print with the bed unheated as well, 0c. This is taulman 645, have not tried 615 yet. I don't see the need. Or perhaps I do not understand the pro's it has to offer over the 645. Anyone able to enlighten me on why I might like the 618 more in certain situations?

Have you guys tried using hairspray? I’ve read from http://www.3d2print.net/shop/product/ab ... en-1-75mm/ that if you use extra strong hairspray, the filament will stick very well on the print bed. So, have any of you tried this method? Does it really stick well?

Yes, if you use the right hair spray they work very well.
Some that seem to work are Aquanet Extra Super Hold, Garnier Fructose #5 and others. Many names that work can be found by doing
a Google search on this forum by using this link: site:forum.seemecnc.com hairspray
