What's the best way to remove the teflon liner from the PEEK? I tried tugging on one of the pieces forming the "X" with a needle nose pliers, but the liner is not coming out and I think I even pulled part of an "X" piece off.

I was told to heat the hot end up to 200 and pull the Teflon liner out with a pair of needle nose pliers, but as you can see from the pic there is nothing to grab on to:

What do people use to pull out the liner when the hot end gets clogged?

I've had luck purposely jamming some pla in the teflon, and then pushing it out. I heat it up, push in some pla, let the pla expand and jam, and then push everything out with the cool end of the pla.

Thanks for the tip; however it didn't work for me. I was able to push the PLA into the hot end and form a plug, but the PLA just pulls out with the plug at the end.
The Teflon liner is still in the hot end.
Anyone other ideas?

Things that don't break loose with linear force often will break loose with torque. I've used that trick to wrench the inner PTFE tube out of the outer PTFE tube in the stock hot-end many times. Try jamming some PLA in there and then use some tweezers to twist the PLA as close to the tube opening as you can get it, while simultaneously pushing down into the hot-end to get it moving. The PLA will snap with enough torque, so get the tweezers in there as far as you can.

Thanks 626Pilot,
What you said is very smart...wish I'd seen the post before I went to the hardware store.
I ended up using Hanson Screw Extractor EX-1. I gently twisted it into the Liner tube until it slightly bit into the plastic and then gently tugged it out.
What I don't understand is how I can get a hole burned into the Liner at the temperatures I'm running (200 C) if it is truly Teflon:
