any one know how to get a mk2 heat bed to work with rambo
not to sure if i got to do some kinda setting in arduino but every time i kick in the hotbed my power shuts off when i hit the button in repetier host , the hot end working great now that i dont have the resisters wired back to them self {dah} tested hotbed with 4 inch wire right into mosfet out put and it dies soon as i hit button and got to do a reset
any one know am i over juicing and got to set something lower in arduino?

What resistance do you measure from the bed?
Generally if the PSU is shutting down it's either a short, or trying to pull too much power from the PSU.

got photos of your heatbed wiring. did you solder connections to it? (the heatbed that is)

That's just a pull-up resistor for the LED.spart wrote:the hot bed has a 1K Ohm resistor on it thats all i know
Most beds are in the 1.2 to 1.5 OHM range, you need to measure it with a meter. Some I've seen are below 1 OHM and this can cause issues.
Honestly it's most likely that you're just pulling to much current from the PSU, either a short or the PSU is just not quite up to it's rating.

You need to measure it disconnected from the RAMBO.

ya i did, i un-sodered the hot bed and metered , it came to 2.2 with out wires and i put new ones on and getting same 2.2 ohms
Re: any one know how to get a mk2 heat bed to work with ramb
what i was trying to see was if you shorted the solder connections.
pic would help.

No the odds are the issue is the PSU.

ya might be going to look for new one, not to sure seams like a lot of people having same problem. i did notice when i first did it that the led resister did flash red when i first hooked it up so think i am over powering it, took off resister and the led and that didnt fix it just in case i cooked it. so doing some home work on it seams like iam not the only one with this problem with this 1.1b board. i am getting full power Scotty but the ship cant handle it lol, just triping power off, i know my mk2 board is rated for only 12v 10 amps so going to throw a 10 amp in tomorrow see if i can get the fazers to fire or make a fire lol hope that works then this will be a ( fully operational printing station )

First post on this forum and a +1 to the issue.
Will disconnect the Onxy and measure its impedance and the voltage being spat out of the RAMBO when I switch the bed on.
Have updated the firmware to the latest version from the SeemeCNC website.
Dammit, I wanna play with my new toy!!

ooops.
Went a little overboard with the bed wires and they didn't want to fit into the RAMBO screw block, guessing there were a couple of strays which were shorting. Cleaned up and all happy now.
And another ooops for posting in the wrong forum...
