1/8th vs 1/16th microstepping - upgrade worth it?
1/8th vs 1/16th microstepping - upgrade worth it?
I have one of the older RAMBo boards that comes with 1/8th microstepping drivers. I know the new boards are 1/16th. Is there any quality improvement if I upgrade? It might be worth it to me for better prints, but it's also $180 I could be spending on other things.

I take it you didn't upgrade?

Nope, still using the old version of the Rambo. I do not believe the difference in the quality of the prints can justify the cost.
