scaling

Post by chbeckdb9 »

Hey,
I am trying to scale objects that I import to the repetier/slicer program. I just cannot find where to click to scale stuff or to set dimensions. For example I made a simple object that is about 10cm in diameter and when I slice it, it becomes 10mm in diameter, and I cannot find how to scale it back to its true dimensions. Again I am using the repetier software that has the slicer built into it. Any suggestions ?
Thanks!

The units the slicer uses are mm, so your CAD program should be set up in those units. If a dimension is 10cm (or 100mm), it should be 100 in CAD. If you don't want to do that, you can also try scaling after you've created the STL file in the "object placement" tab in Repetier Host before you slice.
