Looking for suggestions on a 4 x 8 CNC Router (Assembled)

Post by JohnStack »

The CNC shop I'm helping is looking for a 4 x 8 CNC Router, assembled. If you have one or can recommend one, please let me know. It appears that the market is all over the place on these. We're looking for one that can be extended / modified later. We might consider used but not 100% sure. We have budget to get the right one...

Buy a ShopBot PRS 96 Alpha. I can't recommend them highly enough. http://www.shopbottools.com (I own a 2007 PRT Alpha 96)

I'm impressed and jealous! It sounds as though you have a whole machine shop!
Cnc Router
Laser Cutter
3 Rostock Max
God only knows what I left out, like a lathe, a mill, etc.
Good for you. I don't know how you found the time to write the Rostock Max guide but I'm glad you did.
I'm so jealous I think I'll just go and cry for awhile.
