Purchased one of the more recent kits (judging from the components and the assembly guide) at the beginning of August. Took 3-4 days to get up and running. Had some initial issues with the ABS sticking properly to the hot plate, but otherwise, it worked a lot better than I thought it would. I was expecting a considerable amount more tuning. Guess I lucked out.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the assembly guides, improvements on the original design, and posts on this forum. They were a lot of help!

Never do anything you don't want to have to explain to the paramedics.

Damn Barry stole it. Oh well I'll go with choice number two..
It's not luck, it's the ironing board. It's a long held secret that ironing boards in the same room as Rostock MAXs invoke the power of the Part's Daddy.

You know, a stool shaped table would be kinda cool looking. You could even put a couple spools of filament under there and route it up to the top. I'd stick some weight on the bottom though. Damn I really want one of these things even more now! I have sooooooo many ideas!

At a lab I worked at, our nanometer cameras were on small (but really thick) marble tables with the table legs in placed into troughs of sand that would allow them to level the table to a ridiculous degree and dampen vibrations. Add those features to your ultimate stool table

Yes, brilliant! Rostock MAX fully upgraded = 2k. Marble slab table with auto levelling and custom active vibration damping = 20K? Geek factor = priceless!!
