Calibration cube tuning

So I finally got my printer printing!! HELL YEA!! Now I am trying to get the calibration cube dialed in so I can get perfect prints. Here's some pictures of what I got on my first print:

It looks like there is con dipping in the cutouts and some strings in the middle. I've got the print bed turned off, hotend at 190C, printing on mirror with blue painters tape. I also do not have a fan on the hotend (I ordered one today though).

I'm going to Any suggestions on setting changes?

A fan is going to fix alot of your problems here, and I might add there appears to be very few. Good job.

I also think the four corner supports are filling in solid, likely due to a setting in the slicer you are using. Such as solid infill threshold or something similar.

This causes the plastic to cool at very different rates which affects the outside layers and the differences between the corner columns and the upper lower big blocks. It's a matter of fiddling with the settings for that. Perhaps the tiniest little bit too much extrusion too. Could be slightly too much heat as well.

Do the extruder calibration for thinwall, infill and I think you are almost set perfect.

That's my plan! My fan should be here later today too.

However, I am looking at my RAMBO and realized I dont have the connector for connecting the fan to the input on the board. Is there a connector that can be easily had from Radioshack (or some other local source)? Or do I need to go the Mouser route?

I think you'll need to go the Mouser route. Here is a link that has the numbers you will need, part way down the page.

The ones I am looking for are the ones at the top of the board (they have screws to hold the wires in place). At least I am pretty sure that is where the hotend fan is supposed to be plugged into.

To be sure you get the right ones I would get them from Ultimachine (the makers of the Rambo). Here is a link to what I think you need:

Ended up just going to radio shack and getting some of these:

They slip right onto the pin in the connector.

Now I understand, you didn't need a connector, you needed a pin.

hi there.. im new here.. for this calibration cube, i encounter problem in the progress of printing.
it printed half way then suddenly the print head jump n move out of the way.
printed few times, all different layer jump, got one time almost finish print and jump again.
any solution?
