Im trying to get started up for the first time and when I powered it up today the only thing I have is white boxes on the display screen. I try and connect with repetier and the log at the bottom doesnt show the commands as listed in the assembley manual. Tried sending commands, nothing. repetier shows the commands as sending but nothing happens...also should my steppers power up when first turned on? I dont hear anything?
There is a green led lit on the rambo when first started, then when I connect to repetier and orange led comes on above the green one. Ugg I just spent 3 days assembling and hoped to be making some moves tonight. Help me please!!!
Maybe reinstall the firmware?? Ill be looking that up to see how to do it, never done it before...

Do you have the cabling to the lcd flipped?
Does the board respond with the LCD disconnected?

So you got the kinks worked out of the electronics. Is she working now, except for the calibration?

Yes, seems to be working great. I did a 1 hour air print and it sounds great, nice and smooth and quiet. Having a bit of trouble with the extruder not feeding, the injection molded part that the filament goes into right after passing the drive roller is too tight and binds up. Thats an easy fix though.Eaglezsoar wrote:So you got the kinks worked out of the electronics. Is she working now, except for the calibration?
I still need to finish calibrating it, but I cant play with it today I have some parts I need to cast up.

OK, said I wasnt going to fool with it today, well you all know how that works out.... The problem with the extruder was the 3 spacers between the extruder and its mounting bracket. The spacers hit the aluminum grove nut (for lack of better term) and would cock it very slitely when the screws were tightened up. A quick fileing would fix this right up, but I just replaced them with some nylon stand offs.Just a couple more tings to work out then ill be up and printing
