keep writing "wait"

Hi everybody, am new to this forum and even to 3d printing world, i just finished assembling my Rostock Max kit. it took me 1 week to finish it

after installing repetier host and upgrade Firmware, i followed the manual to start calibrating the parts. when connecting to the machine, the repetier-host Log window shows the booting steps, however its keep writing " Wait" word , after that some words like this :

430 : ok 22
429 : wait
427 : wait
426 : wait
488 : N23 M105 *54
488 : ok 23
486 : wait
485 : wait
483 : wait
546 : N24 M105 *49
546 : ok 24
544 : wait

it still going on and on, not responding to any other commands or G28. anybody to help me on this ?

Please let us know what version of Repetier host you are using and are you using the Firmware that Seemecnc has posted.
Can someone with more firmware experience help out geotech 3d?

thanks Eaglezsoar, i am using the latest 0.90 C Version,

its responding to the IDle commands, but still repeating the messages . also another problem pops up when trying to heat the bed and the hot end, suddenly the printer switched off ... any body faced similar incident ?

I can't help with the waits you see in the logs but your printer switching off sounds like a power supply problem.
If you search through the forum you will find many instances of problems with the power supply supplied with the
kits. It appears to be underpowered in a lot of cases. Some have contacted Seemecnc about the problem, some
have upgraded to a supply capable of supplying more current. One popular supply is http://www.amazon.com/SUPERNIGHT-Univer ... wer+supply
It supplies 30A at 12v but obviously is not shaped like the original supply but is reasonably inexpensive.
Warning! This supply requires you to supply an AC power cord that has exposed wires that connect to screws on the supply.
If you have no experience working with AC line voltage then please disregard this information, AC line voltage can be deadly if
you are not experienced with working with it. I do feel your problem is power related, you take it from there and make the
decision on what to do. Welcome to the Forum by the way. Sometimes it takes awhile for someone to respond, but we will help you in any way we can.

That's a setting in the firmware, you can disable it or switch in your own custom "ready" or "waiting" code or messages.

Why are you running the alpha if you are not calibrated, built and rolling yet. Too soon I say, let's walk before we fly airplanes. That being said I love 0.90 myself over everything now.

Love that you can adjust the delta radius during the print and see your values affect the currently printing print until you get it just right.

Makes it so nice to get the delta radius to the perfect zenlike god state.

I'm with Flateric, without being familiar with the software (while it's working correctly) you are taking a much more stressful path to getting up a running.

You're not getting out experiencing the update firmware dance that is bed calibration at least once without a worse experience trying to avoid it, for a little longer at least. Think of it like an initiation that you get to hold over other people's heads later when they didn't have to do it.

Thank you all for that, yes you are right i am over passion to get start

but as per manual, i reached a point where to calibrate the access and to test movement. even i didn't print any single part . so am wondering about the overheat disconnection. i will follow Eaglezsoar advice and re look for the forum tasks to find similar problem.

hi flateric , you pointed that its firmware settings, is there any thread explaining that . i found a similar problem in different forums related to "wait message" but not exactly whit my problem, all of them refers to firmware bug.

Hello Friends;

just to update you on my Heat Bed Issue, after reviewing almost all the Forum Comments. the best idea was to supply another PSU to Heat Bed. I did it , its working fine now, no noticeable problems.

hope it will remain that.

Yup, that is an excellent solution. I have a totally separate PS for my heated bed that is switched with a solid state relay. I supply 24v DC to the bed and 12v DC to the steppers, oh and 14v DC to the hotend.

I got a power supply that has three separate and individual PS in one nice unit. I believe I scavenged it from a dental machine of some type.
