What firmware for Ramps and Smart LCD?

My local maker space inherited a Rostock MAX from one of the members and I am trying to get it going. IT was built but never finished so trying to load some firmware but can't find a working combo for my setup. I have a RAMPS board and RepRapDiscount Smart LCD controller. I tried the code from gtuhub

But if I choose 33 for my board it doesn't compile. I tried several versions of the Arduino IDE

What combination of firmware and IDE will work for this setup please?

The problem isn't with your IDE. I tried setting the board to RAMPS myself, and verified that RepetierMAX wouldn't compile. The dev version of Repetier Firmware seems to compile well, and I beleive the RAMPS board is its default. https://github.com/repetier/Repetier-Fi ... opment.zip Give that a go and see how it works for you.
