I have an accumulation of old files in the slicer of Repetier Host. Does anyone know how to get rid of them permanently. I am talking about the list that comes up when you are configuring to rename and save new setting under new file name.
Thank you jmick

Re: Deleting old files
If I understand your question correctly, you can get rid of settings in Slic3r by selecting them in the dropdown menu and clicking the delete button to the right.
Trust me, sir. I'm a wizard.
Re: Deleting old files
I should have explained what I am looking for more thoroughly. When you select configure in Slic34 you are presented with a new window under Printer settings. After you select the disk to save your new settings you are presented with a list of old files or a history of file that you have worked with int the past. I want to eliminate a lot of the files stored there and don't know how to delete them from there. The garbage can you are referring to is back in the initial slicer window where you can eliminate them from a selected group.

I _think_ I know what you're talking about, but a screenshot would help enlighten me.

splicer file list under pull down menu after selecting config

Ever wonder what that little button with the red circle and the white stripe does? Go ahead...pick a config you don't like...and...push it...
