All of the sudden, as soon as I try to run a job, the temperature drops very rapidly, (preheat is fine) nothing unusual in my start codes, reran pid....
I'm stumped...

Sounds like it may be a loose connection to the thermistor on the Hot-End.
Do the arms move before the temperature starts to drop?

I check the wiring, I do have inline connectors and I replaced a suspect one, but issue still remains, Doesn't to that from SD card or pronterface..
under the printer setting and connection, that do you have for reset on connect?
You ever try the magnets?

If it doesn't do it from SD or Pronterface then that seems to point to something from within Repetier host.bplemmons wrote:I check the wiring, I do have inline connectors and I replaced a suspect one, but issue still remains, Doesn't to that from SD card or pronterface..

Have you made sure that you have checked the start and stop gcodes inside of Repetier host, sometimes people put
them in and forget that they are there and then put more and different start and stop gcodes within Slic3r and the duplicity or differences
in the codes can cause problems. Check to see if you have the gcodes set in Repetier host and Slic3r and what they do. I would not be
surprised that you have the start and stop gcodes in Repetier host that you forgot were there. Make sure the jumper for USB or on-board
power is set to use on-board power on the Rambo card.
As far as my magnetic arms and the other stuff you printed for me, I've had them working fine on my acrylic RMax and the darn acrylic
kept cracking so I ripped everything apart, bought 2 wood base kits from Trick Laser and an M2 printer from Makergear to make my small
parts as I need them. I am in the process of building two Rmax's, each with magnetic arms and E3D Bowden Hot-Ends. I think I am naming
one Curly and the other Moe from the 3 stooges, I will be the third Stooge.

Re: Hot end temp drops after starting of print
I switched the resistor on the hot end to a cartridge, not only did it fix the problem but it heats a little faster...
Odd thing is my Kossel heats up 3 times as fast with a 7 dollar monitor power supply (not using heated bed on max)

Do you have the auto level working on the Kossel?
