Fenner Drives Ninja Flex on Rostock Max EZStruder

Post by pyrophreek »

Was just wondering if anyone had tried using the new ninjaflex (http://www.fennerdrives.com/ninjaflex3dprinting/_/3d//) polyurethane filament on the Rostock Max. I have had some experience with their polyurethane before (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:93148) using a solidoodle direct drive printer, but was wondering how well the filament might work in the bowden based ezstruder. Others have had success with it in bowden extruders (http://talpadk.wordpress.com/2013/10/10 ... -filament/), and from what I have seen the critical factor seems to be the filament support coming off the hobbed bolt, which the ezstruder seems to have. The main worry I have is the small diameter of the filament. 3mm filament buckled very easily in my direct drive setup until I improved the support, and I imagine it would be even worse at 1.75mm.

All I know is from what I've heard with flexible filament, print slow, like 10mm/sec slow.
