Repetier host not maintaining nozzle heat

Post by hsb727 »

ok
this is new to me
upgraded my firmware and host (repetier) and now the ramps 1.4 unit will not recognize will not maintain nozzle heat even though the
host program states that the nozzle is heating -- only if I manually turn off heat and turn it back on will the heat fire up -- gets to heat then drops off
-- does this describe my problem clearly. Is it possible I need to clear out the EEprom and then reload the firmware?
thanks to any suggestions

This usually happens when you have a loose connection. Check to make sure the plug connectors to both your heater and your thermister aren't loose. If, at any time during heating, the connection 'flickers', the firmware will safety shut off.
